Hi, I'm a UK Grandma, been a Hidden Heights fan for ages along with Dutch, Morehead, Walker Fam and others. Wandered over here and subscribed after seeing you talk with Kevin. All my kids grown up. even my Grandson just turning 20. I don't get to see my friend's kids with lockdown(since December here and not opening up till April/May. )Watching all you young families running your farms with the kids taking part is a joy. Loved ya little man there with the ducks and ya big boy going on a road trip with Dad to get the turkeys. Thanks for sharing.

I know everyone has an opinion on Smokeys leg, but at her age, I’d rather get it checked out by a vet. In the long run, it might save her from arthritis or long term pain. She’s going to be a big girl and that’s hard on joints as it is. A quick vet check could save you a lot of money in the long run.

Rocks are good for one thing on the farm and that's for corner fence posts. Use woven wire, roll it to about the size of a large culvert and wire it together. Next fill it with rocks. Won't get a more solid corner post than that. When the wire starts to rust just put another wrap of woven wire on it. We grew rocks when I was on the farm. We'd pick them all in the spring, the ones we missed hatched in late winter. Awesome video.

We used to lay straw bales on the ground in a row over the water lines during artic freezes to keep the lines from freezing...used to pile them on the hose too...make a pyramid and put the hose in the center ....take a water troth fill it with water, surround it with straw bales and put a couple on top to keep it from freezing to use for water stock. can't count on electric staying up for warmers. take the nozzle off the hoseend and leave it dripping into a troth.

What Smokey is going through with her limping, my dog has too. Get her a blood test at the vet next time she goes. My dog has lyme disease! the vet said a ton of dogs have it and it's chronic, espically during a cold snap and a couple weeks after. The vet said during these flares it's ok to give him Tylenol for pain 1 in morning 1 at bedtime or only in morning depending on tolerance. Good luck she sure is a pretty dog

Our Pyr, Lady, has a “knot” on her right front leg. It has gone down but not away. Since she is a found girl, no idea of her history.. I think she developed this as part of an infection. Several times I have wrapped it in Ace type bandage. It helps. In this part of Texas, south of Dallas, there is an abundance of “abandoned” Pyrs. They are bred, but if pups do not sell, they end up...wandering. After we found Lady Pyr, after looking for her owners- many wanted her. However when we told them we had her spayed they lost interest. She is six now - and we would love to find her a home...as (NOT her fault) she and spouses Rottie do not like each other. Lady mothers two Chihuahua boys that are now 14mos. Eight is great - but now too many!

😜😜😜. OH MAN.....ya did it again. A rush of memories when it got a little warmer I’d feed the animals a little later so my little ones could come along and help or just play and learn. Like Adler they’d get so excited just to pet any of them and when asked what animal said they’d get them all confused with a lot of giggling. When doing a project one would always think they were helping as they hammered on their own board then beg to be part of the project too. Of course it wasn’t right but who cares when every time they saw it still there they’d tell anyone who visited. Eggs were hard cuz they didn’t know their own strength so I’d put a towel in the basket so less likely to break and have some tears. So many muddy clothes and little boots but sure do miss ALL those moments and the many smiles of just remembering. Just like Case getting a more mature look Adler has grown way too fast. Best to catch everything on camera cuz soon he’ll be in another stage of growing up. Duck house/coop looks good for a temp fix and hopefully still protected if Smokey not caught snoozing. Our long time Vet suggested giving daily dose of calcium to our pups who were going to be very large dogs. It helped until she got much older and had a bad limp from the shoulder. He had us rub it with a marijuana creme at night and it really did help a lot. Even our German Shepherd got it rubbed into her hips cuz that breed usually has serious hip problems as they age. Yes they get a little loopy when licking it but sure helped with the pain and limping badly. Doing it at night they can sleep it off. Just some help but calcium now will help strengthen her bones and keep paws from spreading out as she grows more. Oops did it again......got a little long here but so easy to do when flooded with so many memories watching you and kids and animals and loving ALL your videos. Yep am wondering how time went by so fast as am sitting on porch soaking up all the sun and enjoying today’s mixture of gas station coffee drinking with pinkie up thinking I’m a lady. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

We have a specific area here in Florida where there are a gazillion birds that hang out on the telephone wires, someone told me it could be due to a certain humming that comes from the electricity. Not sure about those birds in your trees, that's the beginning of a scary movie, The Birds, #2- Yikes! Could be the buzzing linemen. We only hear the screeching like you said needs to be greased. Cammo pants and shark slippers, my favorite cutie. Smokey is wondering what on earth are you doing to her play pen? She is so gorgeous and is just one big cuddle bunny. She's a good girl.

"There's the Quackhouse." I've been running an internet radio station for 33 year and it's called.... Quackhouse Radio. In the 1970s my cousin lived in Alexander Valley, California. There were so many starling birds that would land on the power lines that when they all took off at once it would blink the electricity off in all the houses. Someone invented bird spikes to put on the power lines to prevent the birds from landing. I now see those bird spikes used in gas stations to prevent birds from roosting and pooping on the cars.

I noticed Smokey wasn't herself in this video by not being excited and not running around. Her leg must be really bothering her. Dogs are smart and when their in pain they don't exert themselves. You may try giving her glucosamine and condroidant on a daily basis and or CBD oil. My yellow labrador mix "Chuck" was holding his right rear leg up while walking and running when he was around 8 years old. I started giving him that stuff and 3 years later no issues. His injury was most likely muscle, ligament or tendon issue. I hope Smokey heals soon. I can drink black coffee, but I prefer it with sugar and creamer and chilled unless it's cold outside in south Florida if you know what I mean.
