It looks like a concave curb (not to be confused with a flat curb) with tight links. As someone who has worn various flat links styles for different reasons, I can see this as a preferred option to the traditional concave curb or baby curb. The down side to those links aesthetically have always been the spaced out links, but the benefit was always the shine factor in how the links are cut, which would possibly make it a preferred option to the Cuban link especially with the price savings due to the weight difference. It’s like the best of both curb and Cuban worlds.

I noticed all my gold chains are concave, especially my old Figaro's and mariners. probably as you said to save on weight. Id like to see this look on silver chains with the tighter links but probably no point as silver is inexpensive

I actually own a variation of this. Mine is a beveled curb. Its a more angular filed curb kinda similar to a cuban without the tight links and it on the other side its like this concave diamond cut file. I love it cuz i can flip it to shine more or leave it normal to have a cuban link look since the linka are tighter than a flat curb

Bro, that shit been around since the 80's. Nothing new at all. These were Cubans before Cubans even existed. I still have 3 or 4 of these in my collection. Some jewelers even further diamond cut the sunken in portions and rhodium plate the area too making it two tone. Those were the "Iced out" look before Iced out chains were a thing. You must be young. 😅
