Thanks so much for the shout out sir. Very kind words. I’d never heard of the Dos game before. It’s like GTA elm street lol.

I've played through the NES version as one of my projects and it was a decent game. Boss fights are a pain, but that's it. The music is pretty awesome though. It definitely has that 80s feel.

It really does lol.

My Ugly Christmas Sweater has always been Freddy's Sweater! i am a big fan of A Nightmare on Elm Street as i am 5 foot 10 inches the same height as Robert Englund who plays Freddy Krueger! However, that is where it stops as i sit down quite a bit & play video games, so i am also a 300 pound dude! i think i forced myself to love this game as i play the NES version a lot! Did not know about the PC version, kind of glade i never played it. i always thought there was just one video game out there, Thanks for the video & LJN will give any gamers nightmares!

Haha I've been looking to get a Galaga ugly Christmas sweater, I might do it this year.

Dreamwarriors was imo one of the best in the series, especially the marionette scene 👻👻👻

Wax work from the late '80s is a horror movie you might enjoy. I think it's pretty damn good. Give it a try. It's a little funny. It has some good ideas and I enjoyed this video. Probably won't spend any time playing these two games though.

Love your logic, Sir! I grew up watching the horrors of Mr Kruger and company and the games were kinda a joke. Thanks for the video!

I love the NES game. When I first played it as a kid I didn’t like it very much, but once I learned that you push select to toggle the dream powers, that changed everything. Either that wasn’t in the instructions, or maybe I just missed it. And, it’s best to just avoid the coffees and radios, because it’s cooler to let your character fall asleep and use the dream powers than to just run around punching everything, which is really silly, haha. I love Freddy’s different forms in the boss fights (my favorite being the snake that spits tongues) and the creepy music. With all that said, it’s a really tough game and I was only ever able to beat it with cheat codes. The last level seemed to go on forever.

I've played a lot of both Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th in my life. I grew up in a very horror adjacent household. So I had a lot of interest in both. And I made myself play through them. I actually think both games are pretty decent, and underrated/underappreciated. They have their flaws and are far from perfect. But they're not nearly as bad as people make them out to be. There's a surprising amount of depth to both for their time.

Absolutely, ESPECIALLY Friday the 13th.

Are you sure there are only TWO commercially released NOES video games? Surely there had to be at least one or two more? I will say it's a cryin shame we didn't get a modern one like that Friday the 13th game from some years back. Imagine what they could do while still having Robert Englund around to do the voice of Freddy? Im just spitballing but you get it..

From what I know, yes, at least from the repositories. He did show up as a DLC character in Mortal Kombat X I believe? Dead By Daylight DEFINITELY has him though.

I love the NES version of An Nightmare On Elm Street. One of the better games from LJN. But, I thought the NES game was based on the first 3Nightmare movies since the power-ups you get are the powers the teenagers get in part 3?

It might be tbh.

The PC game is crazy too.😂 Like how if you choose someone freddy kills someone on the roster saying your soul is mine then put his face on everyone besides you. Your pose as a white figure while running Around this deserted town. Freddy is behind you for some strange reason but don't get you quite yet.

Honestly Mike, you should give it a shake, use save states and a guide if necessary. It isn't too terribly bad.

there was also a pinball game so you didn't play every elm street game and the pc game was fun and the nes game wasn't based on the first movie the skeleton thing didn't happen to part 3
@Fortefyre26 күн бұрын
I don't really consider pinball tables to be "video games" in the sense lol. They are more electromechanical games of skill, than a "video game". Now if that table was present in a video game, it would have been here :)
