I have personally been improving my punches since 2020 when this channel was launched. I hope this video will give you new insights into making your punches stronger, faster, & harder yet less tiring. If you have any karate related questions, let me know!

Punching in karate takes time to learn and it goes in stages. Relaxing, not being rigid takes time. Rotating your fist too early becomes a "push" or shoulder punch (no power). I'm not good at explaining the hips snapping back. But I think it will naturally occur if you get other things about the punch fairly right. You're a good sensei by the way.

Sensei. Thank you for your detailed explanation. Do you lock your elbow when punching?
@KarateDojowaKu
@KarateDojowaKu Жыл бұрын
For a split second, the arm becomes straight with the elbow in. However, it is relaxed right after that with the elbow out

Excellent as always course it is the man that makes the art the stronger the determination the conference the understanding that you were protecting and defending then one will truly get it from any position being ready at all times and put the enemy in their place without hesitation Mercy or restraint where there be a competition or whether it be a street fight the point is to be a better human being into be better than your enemy that is what should always run through any fighter when they are pushing themselves and training you're preparing to protect and defend your preparing to win a tournament either way the moment you start you're preparing to make yourself a better human being be well all the best 👊

Good teaching points that you brought up about generating power with your punch. I feel one of the key points you missed was the opposite hand must have returned with the same amount of energy that the punching hand is going out with. The concept of the yin-yang is essential in Striking and blocking of the martial arts. I would remind my students that when the punching hand is striking the returning hand is going to chamber the elbow should be literally taking out an opponent behind you if they had walked up behind you. That is also a great point! Just make sure you're aware of the order in which your arms move. 1. Pull back hand starts to come back 2. Chest turns pushing the opposite arm (punching arm) out 3. Punching arm reaches its impact In other words, make sure the start of your pull back hand and the punching hand doesn't happen at the same time. That results in the 2 powers fighting against each other.

I have a lot of questions. And punches, in my opinion, are better absorbed by doing the right punching technique - that is, doing boxing techniques, and not trying to strike with a movement that is not a punch (as karate practitioners have been trying to do for many years). decades) Sincerely, Alexander

@@KarateDojowaKu if you execute the movement in full form without changes made under the influence of boxing, then it is very difficult to strike with such a movement. Biomechanics. the full form tsuki movement is a movement that uses a wrist-width lever and generates down-forward pressure rather than forward as in the box-modified version kzbin.info/www/bejne/f4q3iaCCdt52Z9U but in fact, all karate if you do not come up with anything other than the form of kata. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnS8q5ihmtxmnMU

A punch in boxing is like a brick breaking a window. A punch in karate is a bullet that pierces glass and leaves a small hole.
