I was heartbroken and I still miss it every day. And it wasn't nearly as all consuming in my life as gymnastics is for Nile. I can't imagine the heart-brokenness and pain he is experiencing. Absolute Legend. Although the chapter of competitive gymnastics ends, i think the chapter of content creation is just about to pop of. This fan base watches Niles video's because of Nile. It's about the man and his energy in the video's. Just imagine Nile doing more challenges in diverse sports. For example wth Eddie Hall, Rosse Edgley or just bantering around with his mates. He has a very good basis for a lot of sports and knows a lot of content creators. Former world class athlete trying out other sports, skills and challenges while having a bit of banter, i'd watch that. Nile can be very proud on what he has accomplished and should be excited on the new possibilities that has opened up now his new chapter has begon. This is the first video I’ve seen of his and I still cried pretty much the whole way through, too😭 he and his family are so god damn precious. We desperately need to shine more light on families like this that have a positive dynamic, who truly love and support one another. It’s great to see loving families and good parenting still exist in this insane world and on the internet. I was a gymnast for a big part of my life (in the US) starting at 3 years old, I was never particularly good though as in a whole ass decade I only made it up to level 6 lol. I’m 29 now and can basically only do like a handstand/walk on my hands (my fav), and even that hurts my wrists after not too long😅 I think it’s partly bc I stopped working out those muscles but also bc I’m getting kinda old. Well, in gymnastics years at least lol. I can’t believe I only just came across this powerhouse of an individual, I’m sad that I didn’t get to be a part of his journey with you guys but I already know the best is yet to come. He’s going to go on to make an even greater impact on ppl by coaching and working with them personally. We would watch you, Simone Biles, and so many other legendary gymnasts all the time and I could just see the fire of drive and admiration in her eyes. She eventually stopped due to many injuries and really mentally (and we later found out physically) abusive coaches. It was no longer the sport she loved and it was no longer a dream worth sacrificing her mental and physical health and other life opportunities for. The transition out was so hard for her and is still affecting her to this day I think... Thank you for being part of the biggest part of my little sister’s childhood. You have brought the sport to the world. My son and I stumbled across your videos. You inspire him and that is a big deal as in our town in Canada 🇨🇦 men’s gymnastics isn’t popular. You have also brought to light so many of the physical and mental risks of the sport. Thank you for bringing this forward to support all future athletes. You describe gymnastics as your life. Please keep remembering there are so many new adventures on your horizon. 🤗 ❤️

So sad. Such an inspirational person as well as a gymnast. Such an ambassador for young people in gymnastics. I do hope you will be able to continue your excellent education work and motivate young gymnasts all over the world. You are a visionary. We need more like you, especially now! Take care of yourself, and re-group, we want to see a lot more of Nile Wilson yet!

Thank you for sharing this part of your life! I am 27 and a figure skater. My level is not high but I identify myself as that. And I know there will come a time my body won't support me to skate seriously anymore. I'm accepting it... but not looking froward to it. All (most? swimming?) sports probably have that sort of wall, and there are many interviews, but sincere thoughts on what it's like are rarely shared. So again, thank you! This helped sort some of my thoughts.

Life has many stages. You gave so much of your young life to being someone the UK is so proud of, but it’s not all you will be. You will change direction and go on to grow. You will always be an inspiration, the past is already written in stone and now it’s time for the excitement of whatever is to come. Good luck, but never goodbye x

You've been sensational to watch, inspiratational to all those kids (inc the ones we watched you with in the gym) and you have stopped (thank goodness) before you affect the rest of your life with an injury. There's a bright future ahead of you - as you say, you will always be Nile Wilson, Gymnast (Extraordinary!) and you;ll always be OUR Nile Wilson. Can't wait to see what the next chapter holds. Keep strong and well. There's such love and adfmiration out here for you and your honesty - and your skills as a communicator, Mr Wilsonator !!

I discovered your You Tube channel about two weeks ago but i got myself completely obsessed with it because of the great content...I like the way you are trying to inspire not just about doing gymnastics but any kind of movement, i like this friendly family relationship you have, i like how you are so full of energy and just keep smiling no matter what and the way you pass through injuries and problems, i like this type of vlogging that is not sport centered but instead you are communicate with the others through the sport...even though i am not doing Body Bible streches and exercises i am watching your vids while i am doing my middle split routine because you are such a big inspiration for me and the less important - your humour keeps the pain away ...so i am really looking forward for what is coming next, it would be very interesting for me to know what your other interests are too...just be yourself as always, you seem as a really nice and good person so TRAIN SMART, KEEP IT REAl, rely on the ones you love and enjoy what you do- your subscribers are here for you! :) P.S sorry if may English is not that good, is a foreign language for me so i am still ugrading my skills

So proud of you Nile, you have achieved so much. I don't blame you for retiring, after getting all your injuries and still persevering, no one could ask for more. Thank you Nile. Will you still be continuing your KZbin channel? Also what song is it that's playing at the end? Thanks.

So well done- and GENEROUS OF SPIRIT: Nile for using his own personal tragedy he’s still working through (understandably) and all the other participants including his close inner circle (all committed to being upbeat when’s possible but this was as his Mom, Dad and sister says not possible to treat like other challenges they had been dealt), and the filmmakers including whoever edited the film ALL deserving so much CREDIT for doing this. I am sure it’s helped others in dark places, and will continue to do so. All involved esp Nile should be really proud of this film, and I hope it will be made available on many more platforms so it can reach even more people. I don’t know HOW to get this onto other platforms like NETFLIX, but hope the responses here on KZbin will help. Maybe youtube could facilitate making this available on other platforms, as a public service and public health matter. It’s so well done, and that’s sadly not always the case with documentaries concerning this subject. Suicide is among the leading causes of death in the USA, where it’s usually listed as one of the “top 10” (occasionally falls to like 12th) causes of death yearly according to official government statistics (none yet circulated or tabulated about the pandemic, with many people having new pressures on them they don’t feel they did anything to deserve, just as Nile did nothing wrong; he tried to be humble with his prodigious talent and inspire others which he’s done... and continues to do). Kudos.

I do not personally know you Nile, but watching your journey, even through a screen, in my bedroom, in another country, during these past years, has been such an enlightening experience, that spread his and your energy also in my all day life. Thank you for have shared yourself. You are in a transition, a very big one. I am also quite sure, that you will find your future as beautiful as your past. I am also sure that you could be the perfect man to grow the future of gymnastics, showing the path to the youngers and to give them the opportunity to live what you have been lived, through this connection that pears time and relates with the intimate core of the eternity. Thank you Nile
