The iPhone 15pro was tested to have a native ISO of 1250, applying the crop factor it is a hair under 12800 full frame equivalent and gave a similar 13 stops dynamic range to the A7S III, but only at that iso level, I mean woah…. So it would be interesting to repeat this test at different ISO levels to identify the true native ISO.

Hello. Typical the dynamic range lowers with higher ISO values. The A7SIII has a dual native ISO and one of them it 12800. I think the iPhones and other smartphones use computational photography to achieve the higher dynamic range. I'll repeat this test with different ISO values though 😉. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

​@@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens That's the surprising thing! - CINED tested ISO55 on iPhone 15 Pro and got 11 stops using Apple LOG, they re-tested it with ISO1200 and got 13.4 stops - that's an insane difference. To put this into context, the full frame equivalent ISOs would be ISO400 and ISO9000, but it seems the single native ISO on iPhone is full frame equivalent of around ISO 9000 and not some low ISO as you might expect. Going above or below this native ISO reduces dynamic range. It also has a 5ms rolling shutter, so quite a few similarities to the A7S III sensor it seems, except just the single higher native ISO.

Hello. No I haven't tried it and I don't think It would affect the dynamic range. Maybe you could have a bit lower ISO but the dynamic range should not change because of that. ISO 400 is still close to the base ISO. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

If you can wait or need it now? There will always be better cameras if you wait, but for now then OA4 is really one of the best cameras you can buy. And I have myself bought 2 units of OA4 and are more than happy with them.

Hello. Would be good to try. Honestly, I think the 13.5 stops are achieved with computational photography, so like HDR processing. Like a smartphone does it. I'm not sure... Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

Why DJI action 4 unable to focus on things ?

Hello. It doesn't have a variable focus. It is focused to the hyperfocal distance which is around 4m away so everything half way back and everything from that point forward is in focus. It's not really good for vlogging because you're always closer the 2m. All action cameras have this "problem". They are meant for action shots ;) Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

Does holding the mic help improve the dynamic sound,, simply clip the mic to the shirt please, distracting and sounds the same if on or or by the table

Hello. The closer the mic is to the source the less background noise and echos are picked up because they are wey lower in strenghth then the source - my voice. It's already a VERY big difference if I just hold the mic twice as far. If it's cliped to my shirt it picks up too much echo and then I need to clean that up in post... Thanks for the comment.
