We stayed in those little wooden sheds and had a great time . 40 years ago I took my children there and stayed in the chalets . Again we always had a wonderful time .Great food , lots to do and good accommodation . Its great to know that Potters continues to go from strength to strength . I live 4 miles down the road. Potters is magnificent, something for the East coast to be proud of. It has run for years, but, unlike others, the investment has been sustained from day one; it moves with the times and no corners are cut.

This is how all UK resorts should be. I’ve designed resorts and parks, and without exception, the fundamental ingredient is always the ethos of the owners, their values , together with the housekeeping leaders. They keep the place going// Disney do this impeccably.

I had never heard of this place before watching your video, it's really impressive! Nice to see a holiday park being done right and nice to see you enjoying yourself. Your relief as you walked into the room was palpable. It's the little things: the hangers which mean you don't have to fiddle around hanging up your clothes, the sturdy wardrobes and drawers, matching furniture on the balcony, a clean piano kept in tune, no barbed wire around the perimeter(!) so you can just stroll onto the beach. Amazing. 😎

I wouldn't normally consider paying that much or even booking an all-inclusive holiday in the UK. But after watching your amazingly detailed review I certainly would book there! Wow, what a high-standard resort Potters is, and only a 40-minute drive from my home in South Norfolk.

I stayed here four years ago and yes it isn't the cheapest but in reality when you factor in all the entertainment and that includes all those pricey activities for the children you would normally be watching your purse for, the entertainment, the food and now all the drinks( that is only in the last two years I think) it is great value. To me it was one of the best holidays I'd had. The whole staffing team want to be there and seem to all live their jobs. It's clean and safe, you can get involved in everything or take yourself off to a quieter part of the resort. I visited in August during school holidays so it was busy but not rediculous. Great place for bigger families and multi generation families it seems. Many people go year on year and I can see why. It looks like it's changed since we visited last time. Hopefully we will return soon 👍

This is incredible. I’m SO glad you did this! Like I’ve said before, we just don’t have places like this. I used to work in events and worked at a venue and I know how expensive things like AV and techs and camera, etc, all are, and I can’t believe they have shows like that every night! And that restaurant was incredible. AND I can’t believe alcohol was included! Alcohol is basically the thing that is never included in packages, or if it is it’s a “house white/red” and tap beer. Never spirits! It would be great if you’d add prices to these videos at the end. If not what you paid, then what the general prices are. I think if I’m ever lucky enough to visit the UK (I’d love to because my Dad was born and grew up there and I still have relatives there) I’ll stay at one of these holiday parks instead of a hotel. As long as I can book a good one 😉

My Dad was there in January for the World indoor bowls, with the indoor bowls club that he belong to here in Hull and I have spotted him in the crowd watching it live, whilst I 'm at home watch on the TV. My dad can't fault the rooms/chalets and food over the years, he as been going. The only time I got to see the resort was on the bus from Great Yarmouth to Lowestoft. My Dad bought my a baseball cap with Potter's leisure resort on it. Great video and have to try it out for myself. Wow! I'm just watching this before you check out the Pontins in Wales again! After seeing the state of Pontins in 2022 with a name beginning with P that I can't pronounce or spell in Wales. This one looks like it's in a completely different dimension! 4* Hotel Standard this one! Dosn't even feel like a Holiday Park! What a lovely Balcony you have with your room! Lovely to see out as you say to watch the sun go down. The room looks immaculate & the Bathroom looks very acceptable! So nice it's a family run Holiday Park for decades. The museum is very interesting showing how it used to look in years gone by. Loved the waterfall effects on the wall downstairs in the Hotel. Love the arches stairway with the gold P monogram on the walls. And lovely to see a well looked after 🎹 piano😊 The restaurant looks brilliant with Wines on the walls. And such an amazing Theatre & Bar area. This particularly reminds me of Norbeck Castle in Blackpool how it should look with the glasses walkway's. Lots of restaurants & Bars all looking very classy 👌 Loved the old traditional fire places. What alot of money & love has gone into the upkeep & style of the Holiday Park. I would call this a Holiday Park Posh Hotel! Free chilled water is a lovely touch. And a Hairdressers❤️what a treat I'd be in my element! Jacuzzi sauna & steam room all amazing. The bucket Shower is an experience! Potters are definitely a classy run establishment! And those Bungalow Appartments looks wonderful to stay in. It's positives all round! Wow the beach is nice such a nice view of the sea. Golf courses & grassed areas so looked after. Lots of things to do Archery not my thing either Tim! You on those Sedgeways! You controlled it so well. Pretty sure I would of been all over the place. But I would like to try the Sedgeways I think as long as I didn't fall off! Coconut Shy good fun! Tail in the Donkey I haven't played that since I was a kid. Oh Play your cards right I likes that on the TV great game show. Free Ice Lollies & Ice cream Tubs😀I love watching Indoor Bowls! The indoor bowls area actually looked like a big blue pool untill you stepped on it😂 You look very smart in you grey jacket to go to the restaurant 😍 Yes that beautiful restaurant does have the look of being on a cruise ship! Amazing view while you are eating. The Mango Parcels sound a lovely starter! And how colourful & well presented the Mango Parcels are! What a huge restaurant too! I would love to be eating there! Your Beef meal & Yorkshire puddings & pototoes looks very appealing! Making me hungry again Tim. What's for dessert 😋 Salted caramel cheesecake would be perfectly acceptable for me too & it looked delicious 😋 So nice meeting your greatest fans too. Those 2 lads looks absolutely made up to see you there Tim! I bet the shows are good. I feel like I'm having an evening out! Lovely Bar & seating in the entertainment venue! Really does the Potters family proud. Lovely they have been keeping up standards for 100 years. It's a far cry from Pontins which are in such a sorry state. It's been a privilege to see this lovely place & see how wonderful a Holiday Park can look at it's best. I've really enjoyed this!!!

9ve been to Potters year in year out with my family of multi generations and partners included. It is quite truly remarkable how big a step up they are from the rest of the holiday park industry. When COVID hit was when they went all inclusive, but before food was still included in the price, just drinks had to be paid for. But now it’s included in the price it’s a great bonus! It also helps that the staff all seem to love what they do, and their retention of staff is amazing. After visiting for almost 10 years, the main entertainment crew has had minimal change, and main man Mark Brewer is always top notch, and having recently brought on board some new younger talent, Potters will stay ahead of the rest for a long time. It may be pricey, but it is worth it! Great video Tim, enjoyed watching a different perspective on a place I love!

This looks like a fun family getaway. It seems to really benefit from being family owned. Maybe the communities where the corporate owned, very rundown parks are should pursue some kind of franchising ownership of those properties. Get all the accommodations in good repair, employ locals to maintain the properties, community puts in some money to rehab and maintain in exchange for a guaranteed emergency accommodation for people displaced by house fires and such and ability to set up emergency kitchens, cooling/warming centers and clinics depending on what the community needs. This coming winter is going to be tough on a lot of people. Communities need to think about what resources they have and these places could be good if they were safe and not falling down.

Wow, so it can be done. A properly managed, excellent quality holiday park! It feels almost overwhelming with its size and amenities, just from watching your excellent video, Tim!

Considering they charge nearly £900 for a weekend for two adults I’d expect it to be this high standards but definitely out of my price range.

Me too pal, a week for a family of four you could get a holiday village all inclusive in Ibiza. Same money.

We have been lucky to stay here several times before lockdown, they used to do one nighter star acts which were excellent sadly since becoming all inclusive they haven’t re introduced them, unfortunately the prices have increased significantly also, their own shows are very good and very professional hopefully we will return someday, thanks for bringing back many happy memories ❤️👍🏻

I went on holiday to potters a long time ago, I don't remember what year it was but I was quite young, maybe I was about 9 (maybe it was 2013). However, I do remember that I was there for a karate competition that was held in the indoor boules hall (I competed but didn't make it far). I was in one of the chalets, and I remember that it was an amazing experience.

Looks like a lovely place, I have no interest in staying at a holiday park but these facilities would be fantastic as a health club, if you loved nearby and could come here for a gym/classes/food/swim/lounge, and go home again, that would be fantastic

Great video & I am so impressed with the place. I'm showing my age when I say that having linen on the table at dinner is what makes the place look so smart.

Brilliant example of a traditional business keeping up with the times and knocking it out of the ball park! Awesome place. Pontins and Butlins take note.

Hi Tim, Yet another superb and objective report from potters. Earlier this year we were in Gibraltar and remarked on your blog there. We also live just down the road from Butlins in Bognor Regis and were impressed by your remarks regards about Bognor and the other Butlins sites.very accurate and objective, all of which I have visited at some time or other. Potters,I must confess, in my view, is probably the best in this country and the shows that I saw were west end quality. I have visited on several occasions attending Royal Air forces Association conferences. At the end of which was a large parade with standard bearers from each branch. Tim, your doing a great job and every thing you do is informative and interesting. All the best Bob.

We are going to Hopton-on-Sea with our bowls club in May. I’ve already been with my sister. We’ve also been to Five Lakes twice. They are great resorts, the food, the variety of entertainment and the shows too. We say it’s like being on a 5 star cruise ship, without the water! Highly recommend.

This is a review about your trip to The Imperial Hotel in Great Yarmouth Tim. It skipped a vlog & landed here!! I loved your room Tim in The Imperial Hotel. Beautiful sea view! And I loved the red bed head & the wallpaper with all the lighthouses on! And lovely bedspread & the Picture on the wall matched the decor of the room perfectly! And I would love that Air Conditioning 😍if the room is too hot & i would need to turn the heating off then I come in then that's brilliant! It's cold rooms I don't like! I like the little hoover hairdryer! I would use that to dry under my arms😂& other places😂 Lovely Bar down stairs! You & Gaby did look lovely. Shame there wasn't a lift for Thumps in his Push chair. Restaurant look very cosy! I've never tried Mussels before I bet they are a nice starter! And having dessert in your bedroom is a luxurious treat! Brekkie on the Terrace what a nice start to the day! With colourful lighting on the terrace. I really liked The Imperial Hotel it looked very well looked after & cosy! It's a lovely place to spend your Birthdays Tim I bet you really enjoy it there. There was a little lift! That did look abit rickety! But it didn't deter the charm of the hotel at all! I would definitely stay here if I'm ever lucky enough to stay in Great Yarmouth
