We have done 5 holidays with Jet2 in the past 18 months our next is in October with seventh for Christmas/New Year. Each with the exception of the last went without a hitch. The problem was one of our cases was left behind at our UK airport, it appears the tag got caught in something and came off the case. Once we collected our other cases we approached a Jet2 member of staff and they immediately said agh Mr xxxx, yes we know your case has missed the flight and it will be out on the next flight and will be delivered to your hotel tomorrow morning and because we had included our Jet2 booking reference within our case they were quickly able to identify where it should be. They told us if we needed to buy anything as a result then we should keep the receipts and make a claim. As it was the case only contained a variety of clothes for each of us so it wasn't an issue. The case turned up as promised and didn't spoil our holiday in any way. I think the fact as soon as they were aware who I was and they knew all about the case and the actions they said would happen and did meant we had every confidence in Jet2, we didn't make a complaint nor have we left negative feedback, in fact we left positive feedback, things happen.

The giant banana is called a plantain, lol. They are eaten by people from the tropics, delicious fried either ripe or unripe. Tostones are made by the unripe kind and you can add meat on top for a tasty bite. Sweet plantains make a traditional side dish to most caribbean meals.

I have nothing but praise for Jet 2. I have been on a few package deals with them . Alongside Virgin Atlantic ones. I have found all the staff , cabin crew and resort staff to be very helpful and professional. They are excellent for bargain getaways .

CS-TRJ was the aircraft you guys travelled on. It’s 24.3 years old and was manufactured in Hamburg in Germany in 1999. It has been with Jet2 since March 2023. The aircraft is an A321-200. Hope that helps and I loved the video!

We’ve used jet2 a few times as they are the only direct uk flights to Lesvos in Greece. Never had any issues. Last time we upgraded our transfer to a hire car for the full 2 weeks and it was about the same price as taking the coach transfer and hiring a car for 4 days, which we usually do. It was great, even picking the car up at the airport we beat the coach to our hotel. Then had complete freedom to go wherever we wanted during the holiday, then again we beat the coach back to the airport (and we went the scenic route!)

We absolutely loved our Jet2 holiday. Loved the fact they have their own section of the airport just for jet2 customers. It really personalised the experience. The plane was immaculate, the staff were excellent and the hotel beyond our expectations. There was no delays and the transfer was simple. Even the coach was clean and air conditioned. Couldnt fault it for the price at all. Cant wait to fly again.

£1000 for a week - that’s a cracking price for 3 adults (and Casper!) quite a quiet place but looks great for young kids. Pool looks nice. Hope Holly had a good time as well! Casper definitely looked like he had a great time!

Been with Jet2 for my last three holidays and personally wouldn’t go on a package deal without them. They’ve been terrific. Love the Jet2 flights, hotels, transfers, cannot fault them. I’ve been with other holiday companies and Jet2 are definitely the best. 22kg of luggage, 10kg of hand luggage, perfect. You can pay for your holiday in instalments, which is great for those on a budget, they stay in touch and keep you updated with everything going on. Great company to holiday with. On a separate note; Menorca is a very quiet island always has been. Try one of the other Balearic Islands for a more lively holiday Tim and Gabby. Holly will appreciate that more. Gabby are you learning Spanish?

We usually book holidays with TUI but did our first Jet2 holiday to Tenerife last year because they were slightly cheaper for the same hotel. Also, their standard seats on the plane have more legroom than TUI's and the onboard service was a little better. It's a shame they don't do more destinations, or long haul.

Hi guys, Just back this morning from Turkey with TUI! Had a brilliant weeks holiday and found the experience pretty much on a par with Jet2 holidays we’ve had in the past! Like the fact that luggage and transfers are included with both of these company’s, a bit like package holidays used to be back in the 80s & 90s! Loved it! I was absolutely glued from start to finish! The place you stayed really was.. unusual! Lovely scenery but not much there.. I just found it all so fascinating.. @@WalkWithMeTim tbf some of Jet2's own aircraft are 30+ years old. They lease in additional aircraft from the likes of HiFly and Titan Airways during the busier summer months. Tui do the same.

Other thing to remember here is aircraft are regularly maintained, much more regularly than road vehicles. You'll generally see short haul airlines with newer aircraft as their high number of flight cycles will put wear on the airframe from the pressurisation more quickly than medium/long haul operators who fly longer routes but less cycles.

Have to say Jet2 are brilliant. Their main advantage is their staff, there are lots of them and they’re very well trained. Have flown with them a lot and their airport service is slick to say the least! Other airlines (like TUI in my experience recently), have non of this. It’s a false economy for businesses to cut staffing, because that’s when things go wrong/people are rushed/and there’s no one to pick up the slack when something happens.

Hi guys, we first went with Jet2 after Covid and have just booked our 5th holiday with them 😊 Cannot fault them at all, reps everywhere but you get all the info you need we haven’t needed to use them out of the airport. Very good for lesser known Greek holidays, I think I mentioned before, Parga, on Gabys channel. We stayed in Cala’n Forcat when we went to Menorca 12 years ago and it’s a great resort. It is closer to Ciutidella which is the old capital……so worth a visit, very historical and beautiful 😻

Hi Tim! Travelled with them twice. In 2019 to Cyprus, and just lately a couple of weeks ago to Corfu. Both times we couldn't fault them. I have to say all online surveys by other agencies (usually online newspaper travel sections) consistently rate them highly, so I guess it's not just us.

Personally prefer hotels and locations just like this and I actively seek them out. However, I always book car hire for the duration of my stay. Fortunately I don't drink alcohol so this does not prevent me enjoying myself when going out for the evening. The best package flight I have ever experienced was with TUI to Mexico but I did upgrade the flights to Premier, which I don't think they do anymore. Great video and the star of the show as always was little Caspar!

The plane you traveled on was a company from Portugal called Hi-fly, which is on lease to jet 2 for the summer season. Its a Airbus 321. 24 yes old. Enjoyed your vlog. The aircraft you travelled out on was an Airbus A321-231and is 24 years old. It is a Portuguese registered aircraft with the CS- prefix on the registration. UK registered aircraft have the G- prefix. Although the aircraft has a Jet2 sticker planted near the nose, the jet is operated/owned by HiFly hence a mostly HiFly painted livery. That aside, what a bundle of joy your little lad is! My Daughter was just a touch older than Casper when she had her first flight, ironically also on a Jet2 flight but to Portugal!! She was a little more of a handful as she was in full toddler mode and wanted to explore....difficult on an aeroplane! Thankfully she didn't scream the place down, but boy it was a long 3 hours! That was 16 years ago now! This was a really enjoyable change in video Tim and Family, Thanks!

We always go Jet2 package and always find them well organised and supportive, (the only let downs are usually due to the airport itself).Note that if you book in good time you usually get your seats together - we've never paid extra. We usually book via Hays Travel, but usually check the price online and haggle in the shop if they're dearer.

My family and I are going on Jet2 holiday next year, to Benidorm (we love watching your vlogs there Tim). We paid for the plane seats, but you pay to pick your seat's so you can be together. We are glad to do so too as I have difficulty walking, so i know my seat's will be easy to get to.

Me and the wife just got back from the Insotel hotel at Punta Prima!, we took our 6 month old baby with us. Ear defenders and feeding the baby a bottle on take off made the journey so easy. Luckily our baby is a happy soul just like Casper.

My family have been on several Jet2 holidays and never had a bad experience, ground and air crew and reps have always been cheerful and helpful. Check in at Leeds Bradford airport is a doddle with only very rare queues. Regarding paying for aircraft seats..... in my experience you only pay extra if you want specific seats or "seats together", otherwise if you don't mind taking the risk of your group possibly (but unlikely) being separated your seat is included in the basic cost. We've never been to Menorca so your video has been very helpful. Thanks guys.

Used them twice for a package holiday and once for a city break and very happy with the service I got from them, were were booked before the pandemic struck so our original holiday was cancelled but they helped us navigate the travel corridors when they announced so we still were very lucky to get as holiday

I had my first ever Jet2 package holiday just last month to Mallorca. They were excellent, both airport and flight experiences were faultless, bus transfers were absolutely fine, and the app gives you everything you need. No doubts about booking with them again. Great video. We love jet2 and have just booked our first holiday with them since before covid & now with our baby. Also the £10 seat charge is only if you want to choose where you sit. If you’re happy for them to pick you don’t have to spend that money. A new thing we noticed when booking since last time is now a charge for guaranteed overhead locker space. Oh and lastly is there a baby change in the toilets if you need to change your baby?

From working within a travel agency myself, I have to say jet2 are defo at the moment the best tour operator from the uk! Being based in Scotland didn’t actually realise they used some of these different airlines :) they are very good at what they have and service is fantastic! Saying this I went with tui in may and found it just as good as jet2. Little tip if flight has seats left together is don’t pay until check in. Jet2 will always put them together if available. They also when allocate still give you an option to change and pay if you want but can save a bit of money! Brilliant watch again :)

I love Jet2, always had excellent service, very professional, and they are always present and on hand to show you where you have to be. I always thought you paid for reserving your seats instead of maybe having to sit in different seats from your party of people. You got a really good price in my opinion.

@WalkWithMeTim only thing is u don't need to pay for seat's what u do is skip seat's go straight to next stage but only the disadvantage of that is free seat's might not be sat together But £10 for seat is so u sit together

Great when things go wrong too. My mother-in- law had a fall as we checked out of our hotel (turned out to be a fractured heel). At the airport Jet 2 got us a wheelchair, took her on via a lift accompanied by her daughter and give her a front seat and allowed her daughter to sit in the seat beside her. Nothing was a problem and they were so pleasant and understanding throughout.

Good report sir, one of the reasons I have never use Jet2 is there aircraft mainly are very old, yes they have two brand new Airbuses " by the way that one you travelled on was leased for the summer but was a 24 year old Airbus" but apart from a few newish 737's there fleet is pretty old, and it seems this year especially the 757's from Manchester have had all sorts of tech issues which result in long delays.

I have flown many times with Jet2 and they do wet lease planes during summer. At Manchester they lease 2 A330-243S bigger planes from Air Tanker ( Brize Norton) And this year they have got 1from Woeld to fly. All the holidays have been great and you either pay a little more toget your seats together.

Love travelling with Jet2 Tim. I find them the best value from Birmingham airport. I travel with my 2 mates and dont pay extra for the seat booking and sometimes we are sat together. I would pay extra if travelling with my family tho. Cheers Tim

You are brave bringing the little one on holiday but he seems very well behaved and always smiling. Family holidays are important as you need time together. Fantastic holiday for a decent price. Accommodation looked great and it didn't look too busy.

I hadn’t been on a package holiday for years, before travelling with Jet2. We returned yesterday after our fourth trip away with them. They’ve never let me down, even yesterday when there was a strike in Malaga. Would highly recommend !!!

I went to Tenerife last summer and we also booked Jet 2 and I have to say I also had a good experience with them. Although the flight got delayed 40 minutes, we booked a private transfer and hotel with the flight and enjoyed the whole experience. I would fly with Jet 2 again!

Our first holoday abroad with our daughter, we booked with jet2. To go half board was £300 less than selfcatering. Always worth checking for these price anomolies. We had a rough landing too. 😂

I went with Jet2 in April solo to Turkey and had an awesome experience.....I also did my honeymoon with them a few years ago also excellent....I've worked for 2 rival travel companies and still choose Jet2 ....I find them very competitive price wise and often have good deals and discount codes 🎉

Heads up guys! May be useful for you lot. Make sure to remove your cookies and search incognito when booking on these package holiday sites. If you keep looking for holidays they increase the price as the websites can see what your looking for. 👍🏻

Great video Tim. That plane was 24 years old leased from Hi Fly. Many operators lease extra planes in the summer to cope with demand. Tui often lease from Titan airways over the summer.
