Husband and I frequent Maggie Valley often and Wheels Through Time is one of our favorite places to visit! He is absolutely right when he says it's not just motorcycles. Antique anything with wheels sitting everywhere. My favorite motorcycle and story is the one hid in a hidden crevice in a wall in a house in Germany, found decades later!

The first time I heard Wauseon Ohio on Wheels Through Time I was shocked! I was born there and it hasn't changed a lot sense I was a kid and I'll be 68 in a few weeks. It is a small town but host to so many amazing events. I lot of the events are known nation wide. I left Ohio for Florida in 82 then moved to Blairsville GA in 95. A riding group what I road with started meeting in Maggy Valley in the early 2000s. That's when I first met Dale, he was so awesome giving us a tour of the building . All the history on the bikes even the Duesenberg. Then he did burnouts we thought he was just showing us that they all ran. Your lucky to have had such an amazing father. At the counter they noticed I was left handed and was told that Dale was too. Of coerce I had to tell him and he shook my hand the first time I met him. I have been back many times it is one of my favorite rides! Any riders that come here want to go to Deal's gap I have done that too many times. I take them there and say meet me in Cherokee I'm going to Wheels Threw Time.

21:57 can’t wait to see this! This year we have been to Don Garlits museum, The National Motorcycle Museum, yours of course, and the Harley Museum. I have to say Wheels Through Time outshines the Harley Museum. The one thing those others had that you’ve been working on is the stories behind the bikes. It makes the display that much more interesting.

So much of his Father in Him. We are so blessed by these generous offerings he gives up to our eyes and ears, with the layered histories of origins and provenance... The team his Dad has gathered around him for this ongoing trek though Has spoiled us silly. His on cue knowledge, and passion to learn more seems undying, and though his lineage, indeed it has proven to be. Thank you for sharing your selfless dedication and Bless The Whole Team.

Matt, I was wondering if you could answer a question for me. I been buying and riding Harley’s for over 40 years now I currently own two right now a 2020 triglide that I built up to a 131 myself and I have a CVO softail deuce that I just bought with 2450 original mikes on it. I’ve always wanted a pan head and I was wondering what year pan should I look for? I really want a 65 since it’s that last year and I figured they should if had all the quirks worked out by then. I’m not an expert on the old ones though. Thanks!

What some would possibly see as trash others with skills and true knowledge of history see as pure gold, the world is a darker place when people like you pass on to a new world taking your deep love of history with you for you, videos offer so much for the young to the old Perhaps you should have the wall of death at some of your events, as it has a history as well just like board racing. As a young kid i was playing with bikes and loving them and ever once jump a BSA 650 and as soon as i became Airbone i wounder if it was a good ideal as time seem to slow down , All came out just fine even thow it was a hard landing, But you seem to live and bleed HD Motorcycles and thats someone who loves what they do and loves life. Always love seening your videos and hope to stop in one day and see history in person Keep up the good work thanks from a fan

I remember seeing two of those long forks traveling north on Highway 99 in 1973 not sure of the exact date the name of the highway was changed to Interstate 5, I was riding in the back of a pickup truck hauling a open GT race bike back from a race to Bakersfield. I remember the front wheel was past the front bumper before the rear wheel was past me if memory serves me.

3.5 gal plunger tanks, leather saddle bags, early 50's glass bags, wind shields stock bars with the internal wire controls, shift gates, mouse traps, front fenders, panheads, rear hinged fenders, 'buddy' seats, seat posts, tail lights headlights, M35, M74 carbs, the list goes on. This was stuff all stuff that got discarded in the mid-60's to mid to late 70's. Who knew? Not to mention all the frames that we ground the side car mounts, and any other extra mount off. Not to mention raking them. Probably threw half a ton of this stuff myself. Hey! It was the thing to do then. I mean even the H.A. had a fine if you were caught riding a 'Garbage Barge'.

I always made it a point to not fuck up anything stock that wasn't already hacked up. Had some fun with guys at swap meets though..... They're going on about how rare and original something was, then I would say something like "it's going to work out great, I'll just cut it here and weld on new mounts" or something like that 😂.... I'm probably still referred to as"that MF'er" by some🤣

I have an idea for the bags and bullet lights, for the next raffle bike could you make something like a 'survivor' bike that's not got all the fancy paint and chrome but is a clean engine on a patina bike with all period correct accessories? Not really a rat rod bike but like a patina rod?
