I’ve been walking 5.5- 6 miles a day for twenty years, usually early in the morning 5:30 am to 7:00 am) - average around 12,500 step). I don’t view it as “exercise” but as a great way to start the day, usually listen to audiobooks.

Walking to the store instead of driving the 2 mins was the best way for me to implement cardio wouldnt even notice it. The stress part was huge too even when I was feeling down after a walk I was good.

Respect for consistent grind over the years (KZbin content wise)! 10k steps a day is good goal to aim for anyone, I usually average something like that but if I try to make effort I can do 15-20k steps a day

10000 steps is about 5 miles. So basically we should ditch cars and make our cities and towns walkable.

Its funny but yes. The car was a very bad thing for society in so many ways from pollution, health, accidents.. I prefer to live in walkable Cities with no Cars.

The humidity and 7 months with heat indices over 100F in Tampa is absolutely worse than a desert climate. Brisbane summers are relatively short and milder than here on Florida's southern gulf coast.

Don't hit the treadmill users...it's still steps. I do 1 hour/day, 6 days a week on a treadmill at 5km/h and I finish the day with over 15k steps (usually close to 18k). It's way easier for me to watch Netflix and walk than to just go around in circles in the neighborhood and look suspicious and shit. I did this as a routine for almost 2 years now, after my gastric bypass (I was not allowed to workout, not even run for a while) and I am now at 75kg at 175cm (i was 119kg before). Just walk on a treadmill if you want, it's great for you.

Walking is the only cardio I do, Granted I walk for about 45-50 minutes behind my house in the desert out on a UTV trail so it's got plenty of ups and downs. running, jogging and any other type of specific targeted cardios like jump rope or hiit cardio, interval cardio etc, will never happen to me they are far to unsustainable. Walking, lifting weights 3 times a week and eating in a small deficit is helping to cut some fat without restricting too much.

@LucaCosentino. Жыл бұрын
It does not take 2-3hours. I find I can complete 1k steps every 7 mins or so therefore it would take around 70 mins for the 10k, so just over an hour. So I’d say you’re looking at anywhere between 60-80mins on average for 10k steps of general walking.

You can walk 10,000 steps with 1 hour and 40 mins at a mile every 20 mins. And that’s slow! You can knock out 10,000 steps in 1 hour and 20 mins if you walk at a 15 min pace. That’s not even including your daily steps. It’s not hard. You just want to make an excuse as to why you don’t do it. “I don’t have time” ok.
