This reminds me of my Second Husband. The one God had planned for me. He bought me a cheap ring from kmart, I love that ring more than anything he has ever bought me since. He raised my son as his own and gave me 2 daughters. Been together 20 years. I thank God for him.

Before we got married, my husband played this song for me. He said when I marry again this is how I wanna be loved. We played it at our wedding on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean at sunset in Maui, Hawaii in 1999. My love for him grows stronger everyday and this song still makes me emotional! If we could All be loved like That!

This is the music I grew up listening to spending every moment out of school with my Daddy who owns a moving and storage company out of Dallas My Mama would meet him halfway from our tiny town in Oklahoma for me to go with him. We drove all over this country moving rich peoples antiques and art. I met famous people and saw amazing houses and just about all of this beautiful country. The thing that always sticks with me is me and my Daddy singing to country on the radio. Shenandoah was always one of my favorite bands. Country music back then told stories and spoke to your soul, George Strait was the kind of man I wanted to marry. I was always told don't do like you daddy did and run off to a big city marry a country boy a cowboy. That is just what I did. My husband is the pharmacist and owner of only pharmacy in our entire little county that has been in his family since 1911. We live on 600 acres and run cattle raise hogs fish our ponds and swim in our secret swimming hole from a spring fed creek that runs through our property. We don't get cell service we have satelite cable, well water, propane, and we are on the electric grid and still have an old fashioned telephone since our cells don't work once you get off the highway and start driving the dirt road. We go to church in a little bitty one room Methodist Church that is almost all family with 27 registered members. Our boys are homeschooled don't have devices and are raised like we were. They show steer and hogs in 4h. They have been riding horses since I could put them on the saddle with me. My eleven year old and nine year old are junior team ropers. They hate the city they love the Lord their family and their Country just like we raised em. They have chores but they have lots of fun being boys shooting their rifles and bows and hunting and fishing. Driving the tractor the side by side and dirt bikes and four wheelers. We help our neighbors and community when anyone needs help. It is like stepping back in time living in the south. Sundays are always church, a big lunch, then depending season some kind of outdoor activity right now it swimming in the swimming hole and riding trails on our horses. When fall comes before church the boys will be in the woods deer hunting and then after church out deer hunting. While I clean the house in peace and quiet and think about the sermon the preacher preached. I go around my house cleaning and singing these country songs from the 80's early 90's just as happy as can be that I have such a simple beautiful life. I for the life of me can not understand why people think we are ignorant or backward to me the people in the city killing each other and doing drugs and thieving and changing their gender are the ignorant ones. My husband and I both went to college obviously he is a doctor of pharmacy and I am a physicians assistant and work three nights a week at the county hospital as the on call doctor. So we are educated people we just do not understand city folk or the way they wanna live. They are bringing this country down. I just thank God I am saved in the blood of Jesus.

Beautiful song, I miss country music like this. The 80s and 90s had some really really lyrically awesome country songs. Then in 2000 it went to poo. When I was young in high school when these songs were fresh out on radio I was a HUGE fan, I watched CMT every day, stayed up late with my fingers on the record/play button to record my favorite song off the radio. Love this song. Sadly the studio version isn't available on any of the streaming services. Their 'Under the Kudzu' album has never been available to stream any time over the past 3-4 years. That album must've been released under a different label or something like that and it's thus not been approved for streaming, which SUCKS because it's perhaps their best album. Just saw Shenandoah again today. Bought a hat, had Marty sign it, and got a picture with him. Last time I had a chance to meet him was in October 2017. He's such a genuinely nice guy.
