Personally I think a major reason is due to SES being the type of band whos songs becomes the voice for people who are struggling, saying the things some people are for one reason or another too scared to say. Im listening right now trying to deal with splitting from a psycho who had repeatedly assaulted me (whacked with 2ft long marble candke thing resulting 8 staples to back of head trying to get away from her so I didnt do anything i regret, or sucker punched in the nose walking into a hotel after a fun night, or getting attacked driving at 70 mph, almost crashing and getting bit on the face) and last sunday i was laying under the coveres when she jimped up straddled my chest and proceeded to strangle me until i started to pass out, followed by many punches in the face as i struggled to free my arms. So, i am listening now and she is getting all mad, talking about how it sounds like a whiney baby...lol....mind you, she is listening to whiney victim music like lanna del ray, etc. With all that said.....she tripped out because i have ended up with about 20 new FB friends over the last 3 weeks that i did not add. Oddly...one friend was a girl I dated for a few weeks, almost 7 years ago that lives in saudi arabia. So now i am a cheater, even after i have her my phone to make sure she knew that I had zero interactions with the page, no likes, comments, messeges etc. Even then she calls me a cheater and that I dont love her. Let me ask you, if I didnt deeply love her....would i still be here after years of violence from her hands? She did me a favor by strangling me! Now i must move forward and let her get what she reaps. She is going to come across a man with her same level of self control.....and he will do horrible things to her. I hope it doesnt happen, but it unfortunately will

This band was in the background when I was on video chat on house arrest. They got me through the 11 month unable to go outside and love my homies. I had my grandparents though. We watched western movies and ate twk dinners alot. Turned 18 with that ankle monitor on. That was in Illinois Got off that. So I moved to my dad's house. Watched as California went to double shit again. Moved to my mama house in Idaho. Went through shit again. Was homeless in the college town. I came down here and my life a western movie. One street town. I stay to myself and I got a girlfriend. She has a son. Love that little guy.

As if High school was even remotely difficult compared to everything that happens afterward LOL This song helped me get through "tough" times but now that I'm actually in tough times, this song does not express my desired emotion.
