Alright, i get that driving is driving but the biggest point is that you learn driving in iracing, its known to be very bad at simulation at the limit of tires, few clips in this video prove it. in iracing you dont go to limit but stay under, if you go over limit even 0.0001% you will most likely spin without knowing that you caused it by being over the limit. the rule is that every sim where you can drift you should go on the limit. in acc you can't because any slide will lose you time. in iracing you will spin. id recommend ams1, rf2 or ac. you can overdrive car to the point that limit of tyre is so much overdriven that tyres melt and you lose time. i know iracing is easy to get in but its not good to really learn car driving, its just good for racing. also iracing sucks for countersteer, in ac you can just feel it and do it lap after lap, in iracing you have to get lucky. You do good job learning but i think you got to the limits of sim you choose :) keep going tho

I appreciate the comment! You made some valid points (Especially about the tire model). I would like to try out other sims as well and see what else I could be missing in terms of realism. Personally, I have no experience in a real racecar so I can't say what's "right" and "wrong". But, I have done some research so I would like to think that I am following some sort of basis...haha!! In regards to the tire model, it IS really sensitive but I think that just calls for more precise driving. Sure, you can't drift as much...but then again...with these categories of racecars, I don't think you should drift anyway (Loss of lap time). The cleaner the driving, the faster the lap time...? I do get your point though. If you can't drift, then the tire model is not right. In terms of countersteering in iRacing...It was a little bit of an issue for me in the beginning...but after getting used to it, I don't lose the car that often (Maybe 1 or 2 times over a "40-laps Full Push practice session"). But when I DO reach the point where I have to countersteer, I am able to catch the car most of the time. As long as there is still time to correct! In order to do that, I had to learn and listen to the subtle feedback that my steering wheel was giving me and I also had to understand "car balance". I realized that sometimes, I just had to brake a bit more, while other times I needed to add a bit of throttle to catch the car...! But then again...maybe with other sims the wheel feedback is more accurately pronounced! You might be 100% right...I really can't say. I'll have to try it out and hopefully, compare these sims to real life at some point! Hopefully, I didn't miss your point that much...haha! Thanks for the kind words, by the way! @@Achillefsgiannisis I had some track sessions in shitboxes irl but as far as i could push its similar to iracing in like "early" reaction to input than later it felt a lot more like rf2 as much as i could tell (also to mention tyre brand and car level is some factor obv. i had some cheap chinese off brand so i would spend fortune on it and could find the limit in slow car). to drifting in car on grip racing is true but you do sometimes throw car into the corner and ppl often say its powerslide or you want to break rear loose so car rotates and you should find that grip back using throttle. here id recommend book (pdfs are online) the speed secrets ultimate (vol 3?) ross explains tyre slip in detail and its good base for grip finding overall. i highly recommend trying other sims, ac is cheap as hell and kunos made great work, ams1 is also very cheap and reiza made god level sim. also one thing i might to point out that car steering with pedals is also bit inaccurate, so in short iracing, ac and some others sims fake gas pedal by % while irl its based on gas oxygen mixture injected into engine thats manipulated by your pedal, whats the difference? you can press pedal by eg. 20% and in iracing you stay the same speed accelerate or decel, irl you can do all the same while not moving pedal as it depends on track and speed and it impacts how you manage car as well. here it impacts how you play with throttle to maintain speed mid corner. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zpi6XpaYiL1mi8U here niels dev of ams1 explains in depth also I encourage to go on track in some cheap car at least few times, idk how expensive its in usa (i guess you are from US) but i heard that its not that bad like 500$ entry and 100-200$ if you already have some cheap track car. hope its true because you could buy some other sim and save on iracing to go irl haha youre doing pretty good work making vids so keep going man! see you on track (also sorry for english if you cannot understand something just say, im not native :) )

@@konwershp89 Damn, this is all very interesting! I will have to take a look and see...but at the moment, I would like to get my money's worth with iRacing (I have a Year-long subscription). I am also working to get myself to do some IRL test days with cars and will definitely post about it when and if it happens! Ps. I'm actually from Greece...Haha!

@@Achillefsgiannisis yeah sure do use that year sub, iracing is most expensive SIM there is so you better have a good amount of data to compare. I recommend even gokarts, should be everywhere in eu, last time I was in Italy there were in every small town and v cheap. Idk about Greece but you got me surprised haha, good job on the accent I guess.
