Why not pay off the student loans with all the money saved up??

I am currently paying of a 12k car loan at 4%. I have 12k savings in a stock fund that has an ROI of 15% average. In other words, I make 1800 per year on the investment but only pay 480 for the loan. That is 1320 in the bag every year by not paying of the loan. Guess it is similar for that guy.
