Garmelie was a Faun/Satyr. According to Shakespeare, the King of the Faeries was Oberon. That wasn't him, but it's a good guess; if we don't meet him again in LoVM, we'll meet him in The Mighty Nein. We've seen Scanlan transform before; we saw him learn the spell then figure out to sing it when he turened into a Triceratops and destroyed Vedmire's house. It's suggested that Willhand was the first person Grog faced who didn't fight back. That glint might have been the Everlight (god of redemption).

The beating Grog took didn't affect his intelligence. He's just dumb lol (only had an intelligence level of 6). Also, Kevdak wouldn't have stood a chance against the dragon, even with the vestige. While it's very powerful, it absolutely would take way more than just them to defeat him. These are ancient dragons and are absurdly strong and difficult to hit/damage
