I Want To Rise | Emma Stevens, ECOSOC Youth Forum 2021

Youth mental health and well-being is a crucial topic globally, particularly today due to the circumstances of the pandemic. There are huge efforts worldwide to ensure that young people are more resilient. United Nations youth departments and programs are also actively working on this topic. Similarly, the UN World Youth Report 2021 is on mental health and wellbeing. However, Indigenous young people across the world have limited access to such valuable discussions on mental health and wellbeing. This side event’s goal is to ensure that one of the most vulnerable youth groups worldwide, Indigenous youth, are an active part of the global fight against mental health and wellbeing problems and that their voice is heard by global organizations.
