Wow alhamdulillah. Im in the U.S and already know I’d like my walima to not include my family as they will cry that I’m an extremist and won’t like that I’ll want men and women separate, wearing modest clothes, not wanting haram music, and if I choose to wear niqab again they definitely wouldn’t like it and would be frowning instead of rejoicing on a happy day. So sad but we don’t do it for them but for Allah that’s why I don’t care. Yes this is so disrespectful. May Allah deal with these people. Also we need to take some precautions as well. Either even in segregated weddings, wear modest dresses because even women can't be trusted with your privacy. They will take pictures of you and might show it to non mehrams, their brothers can see them in their phones unintentionally or keep no phone policies.

I have just some nature shots, flowers and such in all my social profiles. Random people ask me to send them my photos. I don't understand what is that, how come you just ask a stranger to send their photo to you. And when I answer that I never send anyone my photos online and don't display them anywhere because internet isn't a safe place and I can't control what happens with that photo, then they just don't get it and they think I'm hiding something bad or trying to scam them. Sheikh, I live in the west. We have a really devoted Imam. He is the most religious person I know. Our muslim community gotten bigger. We have youth programs and stuff. I am just very awed that they take group photos boys and girls and post it on their social media page. The new generation is becoming more open minded. I dont like that. My sister was in the photo.
