Hi Marisol, after your wonderful baptism, your life changed. But do you feel like there is hard work you need to do regularly to maintain your connection with God? E.g., lots of prayer, helping others, Bible reading, church attendance? Or perhaps you do those things with joy and you dont really see them as 'hard work?' I still struggle to WANT to do things that are pleasing to God, just as I have to force myself to, say, eat spinach and fish. etc. Maybe I just need to 'fake it 'till I make it.' In other words, take the right actions regardless of whether I FEEL like it or not, and maybe eventually I will enjoy taking those actions. Like folks in AA say, we need to behave our way into a new way of thinking - we cant think our way into a new way of behaving. What do you think about my above questions? I mean, I am envious (sin) of people like you who seemed to have dramatic experiences rather than tbe slow, 'educational' experiences over time.

Your issue seems as if you have not been born again as is required to be a true follower of Christ. This is when God gives you his Holy Spirit and changes your heart from that of stone to one of flesh. Through the Holy Spirit, he gives you new desires to live righteous so it doesn't feel like a chore. It's through the Spirit that one changes radically because we become new creations in Christ. Do you believe that you are not a good person, that you are a sinner in need of a Savior? Do you believe in your heart that Jesus really did die on the cross for your sins and rose from the dead? Have you confessed and truly want Jesus to be Lord over your life. Read the book of John, see who Jesus is and place your faith in him. There is nothing you can do to earn salvation, it is a free gift from God. "Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” John 3:3‭-‬8

@@overkillblackjack2910 the Bible does account for that. If Jesus can heal a paralyzed man or raise lasarus from the dead he can heal you. I have mental issues also and I still struggle but today I was laying alone on the couch and had an anxiety attack and I prayed and asked the lord to forgive me for my sins and to give me my friends and family and my enemies faith hope love and peace. I’ve been ok ever since then. If you remember Jesus being in the garden of gethsemane Jesus sweat actual blood and said father please take this chalice from me but let your will be done before my own. He didn’t want to go through the next 12 hours of pain and the cross but he willingly put himself through it when he could have called legions of angels to rescue him. I’m no preacher and I’m far from perfect but I do believe in Jesus Christ and I also believe he has put desire in your heart. My advice is this, have faith in him and stay in prayer. God bless

Demons. Can try to make people believe and try to turn them away or keep their eyes from Jesus Christ with their tricks and deception. So then people won’t see Jesus. There was a story I heard from a missionary who was ministering to a tribe that believed in spirits/demons…. And the missionary saw vegetables being pulled out the ground by an unseen force. Of course, God is more powerful then those weak demonic minions since he is the creator everything and they have no power over God. The Lord will give protection over his children. Remember the verse, “Greater is he that is in you, then he that is in the world.” 1 John 4:4
