Yes! Tractorpulling is a big thing in my village here. My brother is a part of the sled used in The Netherlands. My father has had a tractor back in the day, and i am volunteer for 2 events that happen in the village each year. I kinda accepted no one would actually mod a tractor into beam so this is awesome to see.

@@jwalster9412 I don't think so, because tractors do a lot with top soil, and beamng doesn't simulate top soil in any way. much like how they aren't good at aero, so no cars have real diffusers, and their splitters don't work like real life

@@fillman86 had a coworker in germany who was doing tractorpulling. He told me, that he designed an engine specifically for it which had slightly over 1000hp and got it built by someone. It lasted about 30 seconds, and needed to be rebuilt after the competition. He paid about 100 000 euros for it... so yea, it can be quite expensive according to him

You can use Ctrl+F2 to rename multiple things in Blender. You can set the "Type" to "Set Name" to add a suffix. Hope this helps

This is the top of tractor pulling. There's a track not to far from me (which is surprising because tractor pulling isn't really popular here in the states) and their events mostly consist of 4/6 cylinder pickup trucks. Also there are some that use jet engines.

its popular in the south and parts of the Midwest. truck pulling and tractor pulling are just two sides of the same coin. there's also many different classes for both. they tend to run at makeshift tracks (small arenas, outdoor farmland) and there's not many purpose built facilities for them. they also run alongside other motorsports like monster truck (in the 1980s), dirt/mud drags, tough trucks, mega trucks, demo derbies, etc

so what you've built is similar to what you'd see in the 7200lb class in the '80s - 3 engines (or a single WWII-era Allison V1710 V12...or a helicopter turbine or two,) on a straight-rail frame. Which, to be fair, was the lower class of tractor pulling, generally seen indoors. the old 9800lb class had 5, 6, even 7 engines, multiple Allison V1710s, 4 turbines...

Personally I preffer a good balance of doing it well and doing it a lot; but that doesn't matter much if you end up getting pushed out of KZbin because the algorithm buries you or you don't get enough views/subscribers, or you burn-out etc; so do whatever you believe is best for you.

Fun fact, people don't just do pulling with tractors. They also do it with pickup trucks and transport trucks. It's one of the greatest forms of redneck motorsport lol. My old neighbour has a couple ~3500hp 2wd pulling trucks.

I was at a tractor pulling event in Denmark. Where they use high boost turbo diesels and the turbo whine was so deafening I could not hear anything for 2 days after. I will never do that again.

i have worked on a few tractor pullers 1 is a two wheel drive called rattle and hum the other is a light modified called the asterix all those engine work on methanol a typ of alcohol that is working as the fuel but also the coolant

I was playing around with this the other day and put truck body and wheel back on it 2 axles set up and went landspeed running in it make it as light as possible by taking off what wasn't needed and run about 170 mph plus i think from memory . You should make it with the top fuel dragster motors and see how fast it can go and lower it way down

A tractor pull is cool but it's always going to be a cool show. If at least one of them explodes or something like a NASCAR race, it would be boring if there was not a crash even small dirt truck racing. I'm trying to put a custom engine that I made into the newer pessima but the supercharger model doesn't load and some of the parts have no textures. if I open the console it says that the texture "steel" isn't found. any fixes for that?

you have to bring the model in, and then bring parts of the main.material file (but name it something other than "main") that match what's on the model. Then you also have to get all the image files that are called in there too

I swapped out the huge tires for some normal big rig ones. On a perfectly straight road, I was able to hit 320 mph 😂 Edit: I gave it a few more runs and got up to 337 mph

Well beamng works well for drag racing, but doesn’t simulate any kind of top soil physics, so you’re out of luck there

We have an event every year that my fire department does the catering for so I'm usually insanely busy working but every now and again I get to go over and watch and I think it's fairly entertaining but very expensive my favorite part is at the end of the event they let people try to pull with their personal trucks and a few are very surprising but the way the sled works is its a giant weight that moves forward at a rate the sled driver sets and has its own brakes to stop the tractor and sled if it has a run away that the tractor driver can't stop that's what interests me the most is the sled the tractors themselves are very basic with no suspension and pretty much no transmission its just a clutch feeding engine power to the rear axle

I did garden tractor pulling when I was younger and let me tell you we ran stock class but there were some ride on mowers that had over 10 grand spent on them running in methanol, diesel, or nitro sometimes, it’s crazy what pullers will build
