No matter how low in life I felt or desperate I could never see my self resorting to thiefing. But unfortunately in this society minority of public will not help and just dudge you as a thieve or waste of space. Not knowing people's life situation or personal problems.

I used to do anti-spoplifting training which also included shop layout, one to one staff training in conflict resolution and deterring shoplifters at point of sale. Importantly, stores need to know what is being stolen (especially with larger stores). Usually three sessions was enough to capture all staff. One major sports retailer was losing hundreds of ££s of trainers every week. After three sessions they had the lowest shrinkage across all the branches across Europe. I'm retired now but happy to liaise with Faram and share experiences etc.

all of the things she's describing have been in place in large retailers for years but she's talking about these 'measures' as if they are innovate or revolutionary.

What I'm not hearing is how to catch shop lifters so because her shoplifting days are behind her and someone has bags of confidence, looks people in the eye and smiles, chats to floor workers with a big bag in their hands - what can she do in that situation? My only guess is monitoring security footage because in my head im picturing a senerio whilst someone is having an attack of conscience and deliberating whether to steal baby medicine or they can't afford their low budget shop, they'll get caught as someone without a conscience with confidence will be walking out the shop so how will she be stopping that?

She won't but obviously security cameras will.

this is hardly anything special or new, have you not heard of the saying it takes a criminal to catch a criminal. we've seen it all before with people taking those skills to then also change to securing homes by pointing out weak points.

Have you seen her on 5 star episodes of shoplifting monitoring people on videos ? She's doing a brilliant job ! Some people in the comments to quick to judge on somebody who owned there wrong doings and turned there life around to help people again
