I used to deliver pizza in NYC around this time. I lost count of the number of times that some party dude prankster would call up for a delivery to a manhole cover in some street. I'd be standing there and I'd be tapped on my shoulder and I'd turn around, only for the pizzas to be taken from me, then I'd be tapped on my shoulder again and somehow I'd have a bunch of bills stuffed into my back pocket when I turned again. This probably happened on a daily basis. I was in therapy for years. I thought it was ghosts until I read April O'Neil's book ~10-15 years later.
