I love that your showing feelings and truth for the “other side”. Even though losing a job is life changing, it was nice that you made this video and tried to show those people that it affected you and that you cared. That is important. You did all you could to make that transition for them as easy as can be. They were blessed to have someone like you that cares. You always care. You are awesome.

Trust me homie you motivated me just now. Living in canada been looking for an online job at least haven't gotten much offer at all. Thinking of training myself more and building something myself, i don't wish to work any organization much due to these unexpected layoff and stuff, it really hurts alot. Stay blessed

I was part of the layoffs at my previous company last year. My world stopped for a moment, and had to play video games to cope with the situation. I looked back my career for the past 4 years and I said to myself why am I still in the recruitment industry even if I don't like it? The layoff was the last nail for me to shift into the tech industry which was always one of my dreams. Now, I am currently studying and doing my best to hopefully get my first dev job.

Chris, I want to thank you for the realism you’ve given about this career path. I’ve been out of the Marine Corps for 7 years now and this whole time I’ve been in the Civilian world, I’ve been straight up lost. Your videos on web development and the tech industry as a whole have motivated me to finally reach for something again in life. So while I’m happy you weren’t laid off, try not to ever feel like you have no value, because I feel like I can speak for a lot of us who watch you, when I say you’ve been a realistic inspiration. You’re a good dude to emulate. #WorkHardLikeChris

I'm literally in the same exact position lol. Layoffs and AI are really making me second guess the field. I feel in the long term, this is going to hurt tech companies more than help. They are going to lose new talent, and with it innovation may stagnate. Maybe we'll see a rise in independent developers who make their own things to compete with the old guard.

I'm still learning and trying for my 1st job. Look at it this way, these jobs will be created again because companies will let go of more people than they should of (at least some will from what I'm told) but even if that's not the case eventually there will be a posting up that you can apply for and get the job. Just because the overabundance of positions isn't there doesn't mean there isnt a position waiting to be filled by you. Start learning, never stop, and it'll happen in some fashion.

I think what you need is a federal job? Laid off? What is that?? It is like being in the Airforce. Life is so comfortable being in the Airforce Military, or so that is what I heard. I am in the Army and there were lots of yelling and big balls --- I always wanted to get off the military but I was not able to get fired. . so I sucked it off and earned 25 years. . . I learned that it was the best job ever because I did not have to worry about getting laid off and eventually I became the person yelling at everyone. And it was. .

Hey, I remember about a year or 2 ago u made a video exposing about how u were a bit ill, and the doctors found out that I believe if you stop eating a certain food everything cleared up.. I’m currently going thru the same thing, the only thing is I cannot remember for the life of me what video that was. Just curious, what was it that u had to stop eating? And what was the condition called ? If u don’t mind me asking. I’m hoping that it can reverse what I have as well.

@@js_programmer8423 My Dad had severe gout from drinking (he owns a bar so he drank a lot). He couldn't even walk as the pain in his big toe was unbearable. He needed to get surgery because the golf ball size of the gout but after a couple of weeks on the medicine and not drinking it went away. Ask your doctor about Allopurinol. It really helped reduce the pain and gout. Also, limit sugar and alcohol as these can increase your uric acid level and flare up gout.

@@js_programmer8423 I couldn't walk for months to be honest. For the longest time, I thought it was because of running. There was a sharp pain throughout the middle bottom part of my foot. I could only walk on my heel if not the sides of my foot, to get anywhere. There were times I couldn't bend my knee as well, thinking it was arthritis which it wasn't. I became an engineer because of psoriasis so I can have the best health insurance. Steroids suck. I now use Skyrizi and my skin is 99% clear now.
