I have discovered that it is fine to purchase wants sometimes but within reason and within budget. There must be a balance.

Hard when your spouse is not on the same page as you. All the things you said are true.

My husband is clueless, and it seems he wants to stay clueless. I have tried to get him involved for 20 years. I found that learning what I can to make better financial decisions. Then, staying away from people who only care about stuff and trends. Is helping me actually save and do better.

everything you said is on the money (no pun intended), i especially loved your point about the importance of recognizing the difference between having scarcity and abundance mindsets. shifting to the latter makes life so much easier...

Emotional shopping is a real thing. Years ago, I purchased $400 worth of clothes on a credit card during a stressful financial time. Afterwards, I went home, ate, took my shower and got ready for bed. As I was sitting on my bed and I saw the bags. I was so disgusted with myself. The next day I returned everything to the store.

This is such a great and informative video. No one ever addresses the emotional aspect of money. This area is critically important, just as important as how much you earn and how you spend.

When you start budgeting and be strict with yourself & finance, you will start to fix things. I say treat your life like a business and you wont go wrong. works for me. start with the budget & watch your wealth grow.

I would that it is key to identify your weak spending areas. Clothing? Eating out? Money to family? Once you run the numbers, you can address these areas logically.

The best way to get dopamine - give some money to a poor person or anyone who performs a service to you like a waiter at the restaurant or the garbage collector, etc. Look for opportunities to give and you'll always be HIGH. 😊
