I was, I have encountered them 4 times in 2 different states now (NY & Connecticut) I would have asked them where does Gal. 4:26 and Rev. 22:17 call new Jerusalem “God”, let alone “God the Mother”? They will avoid answering that question like the black plague. Also I usually ask them Rom. 6:9 and ask how did Ahn Sang-hong die in 1985 if he is “2nd Coming Christ” and this text says “Christ… dies no more; death has no more dominion over him”? Every time the cogs and gears begin to blow, because the reasoning is amazingly circular. It’s deception par excellence.

I have a young lady who was approached in college campus in Beaumont Texas and got her sucked in. When she came to visit me in Shiro Texas I sat down with her and my bible and showed her every single scripture that they had misquoted to her. I also took her to church with me which she absolutely loved! I attend an expository teaching church and my pastor graduated from the Masters Seminary in California and also the deacons and elders of my church. She went back to college and asked the cult friend to stop calling her and told her why and then thencult friend had one of their leaders call my friend and she told him the same thing. Praise God my young friend is free from that cult and very happy and free in God's true accurate Word. She will be leaving the college soon and finishing school in Florida, FAR AWAY from the cult people on her campus. God is good!❤

There was a guy that I was going out with that I genuinely cared about. He said he was “Christian” but never did I imagine that he would be part of the WMSCOG. For a whole year I tried to help him see scripture and that his church was promoting complete false doctrine but it never worked. It really sucks when you care about someone and you don’t know how else to help them when they’re in this cult. I want to add that during my time of getting to know more of his church I noticed that one of their main tactics for recruiting members was “love-bombing. They would make them extremely loved and welcomed, then slowly feed then more teaching of their church or as Paul said “baby food”. I am sad that i could not help him and love him better, the only thing I can do is pray that Jesus would open his eyes to what the truth is…

This happened to me a couple of weeks ago!! I was praying for a gospel opportunity all day and sure enough, a lady approaches me at a mall in LA (maybe the same one you were at Paul lol) and says she's non-denominational and is inviting people to her bible study, to which I replied that I too am non-denominational and was curious on what she had to say. But then she got into all the things you just mentioned and I knew right away this was deception at its finest. She kept pulling up verses to counter what I had to say and I did the same thing, asking the Spirit to guide my words the whole time, to which eventually she couldn't respond back to the scripture I was referring to. It was very interesting and made me sad and upset that she was twisting the gospel so much and evangelizing that to people. It made me realize how important it is to know God's word so we can be prepared for situations like this (there's so much I wish I would have said now lol). But I'm grateful the Spirit guided my steps through it, and I was with a non-believing friend on top of it so she got to witness the conversation and hear why I believe what I believe, so that was nice :) But yes, stand guard for these people. The Bible is very clear about Jesus' return.

My husband and I had an experience with this cult too back in 2016. We had only been saved for about 3 years at that time. My husband was approached at Walmart by them too. (I guess Walmart must be there hunting ground lol). I was at home. It was two men. They had simply just asked him if he knew the Lord and when he said yes, they invited him and I to meet up for a bible study. So we thought ok cool, we'll do that. We didn't have anyone to fellowship with, so we thought awesome! First meeting was at a Wendy's. The guy kept trying to insist to us that water baptism was part of salvation rather than a symbolic gesture OF salvation like the bible clearly teaches. We kept trying to explain this to him but he wouldn't listen and he was trying to convince us that we were not saved because we hadn't been water baptised. Another HUGE red flag was him showing us how prominent world figures such as Obama and Queen Elizabeth endorsed their church. And was boasting about all the good deeds they do for community, etc. He mainly focused on those things in our first meeting and then invited us for a second bible study at their church, which he had no idea yet what it was called or anything. So he gives us the address. We set up another day to go. We go to this church and immediately got a bad feeling when we saw it was called "World Mission Society Church"... My husband was like hmmm, that sounds a bit new world order-y... I said yeah, that's weird. Anyway, we go in, meet with the same guy. That's when he starts telling us all about "god the mother" 😂 He kept taking scriptures about Israel and New Jerusalem and saying that was god the mother... As in Israel/New Jerusalem is really talking about god the mother, that's who Israel represents. He said that at the second coming of Christ, that god the mother will be coming with Christ.... So therefore we need to be telling people about not only Jesus Christ but god the mother as well... That god the mother is part of the gospel along with Jesus Christ. That basically god the mother is the bride of God and that's who God is talking about when He talks about Israel and His love for them... It was insane. And then he started in about water baptism again and kept trying to push us into getting baptised into their church. Every time we tried to tell him we DO know the Lord, we've been saved for a few years, he just igored us. And he ended the meeting with, "Ok, so let us know when you'd like to truly know the Lord and get baptised here into our church"... They said they'd call us again for another bible study and were like ok, but had no intention of coming back... Well, praise the Lord, they actually NEVER did contact us again 😂 I KNOW it was the Lord saying nope and protecting us from them and must've put it on their hearts to not contact us again. And the guy could tell he was not gonna be able to brainwash us.

@@savedbygrace2280Hi! May I ask a question?... (and I'm not speaking of this as in getting baptized into THAT Church/Cult, I'm just asking in general as a Christian) Don't you also want to be baptized though? Jesus' last instructions to his disciples speak of the importance of baptism for believers. The disciples obeyed Jesus and they also baptized the new believers as Jesus had commanded them. This has nothing to do with my question, writing it just reminded me of when I was. I was young and had been brought up in Church every time the doors were open. So it had become boring for me as a kid. But this night something was different. I was not quite paying attention to the preaching... and then it's like what he was speaking of got my attention and I understood it completely and then I started feeling guilty inside bc I knew I wasn't living right and I wanted to (it was almost as if I reached the age of accountability at that exact second...lol😁). Thirty minutes later, surrounded by the tiny congregation and my parents of course, I was baptized. I didn't expect to feel much different, but in that moment it just felt like "everything is right." I'm glad I accepted the Lord as my Savior then bc not long after that, Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and passed away a couple years later when I was 16, and then my Dad died from cancer as well. Wow, they are SO missed. I'd give 10 years of my life for 10 minutes with them. 😔 Ok, I apologize for my long story, I think it was just cathartic to write it out. Have a great weekend!

@@sweethomealamanda Hi! Oh, don't be sorry for the long comment! Thank you for sharing, that is a beautiful testimony. Yes, it's not that we didn't want to, it's just something that didn't happen for us, which sounds stupid, but we never belonged to a church building or anything, so we just never really got baptized by anyone because we thought at the time it HAD to be done by a pastor at a church. We didn't understand that any other saved believer could baptize you. But we had stopped going to churches because where we live, none of them are really sound and pretty corrupt. So we just kinda moved on with life. I know that may sound stupid, but that's my honest explanation hahaha. But yes, of course it's something a believer wants! God bless you and you have a wonderful weekend as well ❤

This happened to me about a month ago. In Walmart, by 3 women, of whom only one was the main one interacting. I was in a rush so I didn’t try to dispute with them, and in fact at first I was intrigued! They said their church was bilingual and my husband & I have been searching for almost a year. I wanted it to work out so bad, but as soon as they said God the Mother I knew it wasn’t correct. I did brief research to confirm that when I got home and saw the information about GTM being alive in Korea. I thanked God that His Holy Spirit gave me discernment and it was a new challenge to keep my trust in God to provide a home church for my husband & I. We can’t be too eager that we are blind to false teaching. Thanks for making this known on your channel. I feel like it will bring them to light a bit more as it seems like this cult has risen up again more recently

I had a friend that invited me to his church (The World Mission Society Church of God) my freshman year of high school. I didn’t realize what the “church” was so I went, just to try something new with a friend. It was on a Saturday and for some reason it didn’t strike me that they say that as the true sabbath. Basically what happened was that I was in a room with my buddy and one of the church brothers “studying” the Bible. It seemed all good at first glance but then they started saying that I was going to Hell because I attended church on Sundays and celebrated Christmas. After the so called study session, they invited me to join them for dinner. I politely declined and got out of there as soon as I could. Later I found out that this guy had invited another friend of ours to join him at his “church”. This friend just so happened to be someone I was relatively close with who attended the same church as me. He told me that they tried to convince him of God the Mother. That’s when I actually started looking into the WMS Church of God and realizing, “hey, I accidentally hung out with a cult”

I was in the World Mission Society World of God, Mother God cult for 18 months. They made me study every night, plus we went out preaching. Yup, they preach at Walmart, malls, navel bases and Universities. They twist the doctrine and it's very difficult to refute them about anything because they study scriptures for hours every day to fit their doctrine. They have classes on refuting any other religions too, so they can beat you Everytime. You just have to walk away. My son has been in this High controlled group for over 7 years. He preaches every night and they consume his identity. It has effected my family to the max. What helped me was watching great light studios on KZbin. It's a channel with former members of the World Mission Society Church of god. 😮 Please pray to the real God for help. I have returned to my old Christian Roots, thank God. By the way, God the father and mother were married to different people and had children. But the church believes they were married spiritually and not in the flesh. 😮

So i was born in a cult that is similar to this one. Im following Jesus now but when interacting with someone from a place like that, it is super important to refer to scripture in context. Even if the person may not accept it immediately, it is something they can refer back to. I'd just refer back to scripture and ask them to consider it in context.

How are they any different from you? I am genuinely curious. Wouldn’t you tell a Jewish or Muslim person they are going to hell if they don’t accept Jesus as their savior? What would you say to a Mormon person who accepts Jesus but doesn’t believe in the trinity and has concept of heavenly mother? You’re very confident in your beliefs and trying to spread them just like these people are. Your argument is based on assumption that your Bible is true. But other religions believe their sacred texts are true.

Paul, the timing of this video is eerie. I turned on my TV just now and stumbled on some kind of news program that was run by this world mission society cult on one of the obscure local TV stations here where the anchor was going over all the doctrines that you were approached with here. A few minutes later I stumbled on this on KZbin. Even watching it all on television is really uncomfortable. I can't imagine how uncomfortable it must have been to be approached in person on this. Great video Paul! Would love to get your thoughts on this: While these people's interpretation of there being a God Mother is wrong, numerous Christian denominations do hold to the idea of a Queen Mother being found in scripture. Catholic and Eastern Orthodox are two I can recall of the top of my head. In ancient Israel, the king did not rule alone. There was also a queen. However, the queen was not the king’s wife, but his mother. She was known as the “Queen Mother”-in Hebrew, the gebirah. To get an idea of just how important the Queen Mother was, consider what the Bible says about Bathsheba, the wife of King David and mother of King Solomon. When Bathsheba comes into David’s presence, she bows to him as her king (1 Kings 1:15-16). But after David dies and Solomon her son becomes king, the tables are turned. Now, when Bathsheba comes into Solomon’s presence, he bows to her (1 Kings 2:19)! The king himself honors his mother because she is queen. But it doesn’t stop there. King Solomon also has a “throne” brought in, so that his mother can sit at his “right” hand (1 Kings 2:19). Everyone knew what this meant. The Queen Mother was the most powerful person in the kingdom-second only to the king himself. That’s why when the Queen Mother asks a favor of Solomon, he answers: “Make your request, my mother, for I will not refuse you” (1 Kings 2:20). First, if Jesus really was the long-awaited Jewish King-the Messiah-then his mother was the Jewish Queen. That’s what it would have meant to a Jewish girl like Mary when the angel Gabriel told her that her son would “sit on the throne of his father David” (Luke 1:33). As mother of the new King, Mary would be the new Queen Mother. It’s also why the book of Revelation describes the mother of the Messiah as a woman “in heaven” wearing “a crown of twelve stars” (Revelation 12:1-2). The crown shows she is a queen, and the twelve stars symbolize the people of Israel.

I had two college classmates who preached to me about this some 6/7 years ago. Yeah it’s scary how “normal Christian” they start with and then you look at it and it’s clearly a cult. At first I met with one of the friends at a coffee shop and half way through, she called up the other girl to join (was almost like they were ganging up). They knew I had grown up Jewish (found Christ when I was 20, and by this time, praise god). They tried to say I had to hold up the sabbath, celebrate Passover etc. which I already knew I had the option to celebrate but it was not essential for my salvation. My boyfriend at this time brought up a really good point. What about the thief on the cross next to Jesus? If he needed to go do all these things to be saved why did Jesus say I will see you in paradise? Anyway, yeah, freaky stuff but also sad for those involved who are deceived.

My boyfriend and I regularly evangelize to jehovah’s witnesses and Mormons and stuff, but speaking to these cult members was a whole new thing. They are so firm on their convictions, that once we started speaking on what we believe, they instantly called us heretics and told us that we were going to damnation if we didn’t believe in mother god. I asked them why it was so important for me to do so, and the only response I received from them was “it just is.” They don’t explain their points, except the few verses they jump around with in revelation and galatians to explain the mother god and Jerusalem apparently being another name for her. This cult needs to be spoken of more! They’re growing and we need to be aware of their claims and hopefully lead them to the true Christ.

I normally don't watch you guys, but this was super interesting. I live in Austria (not Australia, it's Austria in Europe) and I got stopped by two girls preaching similar stuff. I'm not that great with the Bible. Like I do know a lot of stuff, but when they were showing me the Genesis verses it kinda threw me off. Then they kept showing me other ones and in my head I went "I know that's not right". I wish I had more biblical knowledge, so that I would have been able to have an actual discussion with them. But for dayssss I wondered what kinda cult that was, because even though I'm more on the progressive side of Christanity, this was just them totally, but TOTALLY, misinterpreting stuff that even progressive Christians and Evangelicals would agree on. It was just a weird experience after all and I was stupid and naive enought to give my number to one of the girls. Luckily, she didn't message or call me, but yeah.. made me feel uneasy for a while

My friend, in normal catholic doctrine, God is both father and mother. It doesn't need to be worshiped because we worship God culturally as a father, but it is both acording to catholic church this is not something super strange to me. That said, yes the rest of things totally seem to indicate that it is a dangerous cult, basically because when a group tells you that God is a person, their founder, their guru... That is quite wrong and also indicates that in other to obey God you have to obey that person, giving money or doing anything ' God' tells you

While these people's interpretation of a God Mother is wrong, the idea of Queen Mother is found in scripture and is held by numerous Christian denominations. Great video Paul! Wish I was able to enjoy your Instagram stories, they sound like a blast.

I had Normans come to my house a while back. They asked me one question is who God is to me they shared me their beliefs. They share me what they think. I told them there’s only one gospel there’s only one God and only one baptism, because who do I think God is to me what is my heavenly father? He’s a god of what he’s a good God he’s a provider he’s faithful he is faithful, but I can go down the list of who he is to me. These are the things that I said to them and the whole conversation went in the opposite direction. They tell me they’re at their opinion is different than mine, it really makes me sad. I told them well there’s only one gospel and there’s only one baptism and there’s only one Lord. I told him how Chris does the three gods open heaven when there’s only one throne so I had a lot of discernment I told them well I am apostolic I go to a Pentecostal church. I only believe there’s only one God I was baptized in Jesus name . so I went on from there. I didn’t go any further than that with them, or you show them bunch of scriptures of what baptism is and how it should be done because their way of doing it is so different. They were shocked they were too young guys. I told him that you both of you young guys should come to my church is you can see it for yourself they weren’t allowed to go to any other church. They had to stay at theirs, which is very sad. They weren’t allowed to visit any other churches. I told them all about my convictions that I don’t watch a lot of movies I don’t wear pants I wear skirts because God convict me of all those and I told him that I fast they did not know much about fasting.

If you’re familiar with the Christian novel called “The Shack”, you can see that “our God” was portrayed by woman in this book. The novel generally was exciting and astonishing in my review, yet the idea of portraying God as woman got me weird out. Basically I can recommend to read this novel, but then again “the God’s” portrayal keeps leaving me perplexed. So, yup, the idea of “God the Mother” not only weirds us out, with this definition they avowedly confronts the Word of God, and bad thing they didn’t noticed and realized their mistakes while reading “the Scripture” (like they tend to interpret). Thank Lord, you exposed the cult!

It was a branch of Christianity that believes something different than you. You call it a cult because MOST Christian sects of Christianity don't follow this path. I am sorry but that doesn't make something a cult. If it did, Christianity would have been a cult from its beginning. The only thing that would make it no longer a cult would be how long it has been around and how many people who you snowballed into it. I have read the Bible cover to cover 4 times. I do have to admit it has been a while and maybe it is time to read it cover to cover again. But I would be willing to bet when I do, I will be able to send you chapter and verse support both God the Father AND God the Mother. I am sorry if this hurts your feelings but the Bible is a COLLECTION of multiple books written by many different MEN. Many thousands of years after the fact.
@boxerspause
@boxerspause Жыл бұрын
I have to disagree, I choose to believe the Bible because it is a reliable collection of historical documents, written by eye witnesses during the lifetime of other eye witnesses. They report supernatural events that took place in fulfillment of specific prophesies and claim their writings are divine instead of human in origin. I am also sure I could refute any argument you would make about god the mother with more specific Scripture.
@Mysticblue1212
@Mysticblue1212 Жыл бұрын
@@boxerspause The reason I am sure I will be able to find something supporting Father God AND Mother God is because the Bible is FULL of contradictions. But I am sure I will give you more specific proof with my 5th reading of the Bible cover to cover. Get to reading and when you are finished with the whole Bible, we can talk then. Just keep in mind if I give you a Bible chapter and verse that shows my point and you simply show me another Bible chapter and verse that shows your point, that doesn't refute anything. That simply shows one of the MANY, MANY Bible contradictions.
@baine3388
@baine3388 Жыл бұрын
What you said is verifiably false but if you would like to try to present your verses that you think would support god the mother please do so here and I would be more than happy to refute those claims merely on context and common sense. Furthuermore reading something multiple times speaks nothing to your comprehennsion of it. I recently read David Hume's Essay an Enquirey Concerning Human Understanding multiple times and I still struggle to describe his philosophy on truth; the Bible is a more complex document than this even.

@@Mysticblue1212 Funny, but when you look at historical context and whom the verse was for whether a specific group of people, the Israelites for example, the Bible does not contradict itself. I do not need to read the Bible again although I read as much as I can, give it your best shot.

Did you ever consider scripture is nothing without context. AND some people might find your views of scripture, just as wild as these men you purposely wanted to proselytize to you. I wish YOU focused more on Jesus' teachings and less on Old Testament scripture. I think it's important to remember that everything that happened in Old Testament was turned on its head when Jesus came to save us from our sins. That's what Christianity is. Considering Jesus was a Jew but after his resurrection, an entirely new faith was created. Side note: the only holy mother I know about is Mary. Jesus' mother.

Being younger in my faith, I thought "well, they're Christian, I need to be inviting to my Christian brothers and sisters," and invited them in for a bible study. Yes, they took me to Scriptures in Genesis and I believe other parts to tell me about "God the mother," that was off, and I quickly wrapped up the meeting and called my boyfriend and told him about it. He looked them up and was like "they're a cult!" and we started learning more about their beliefs. The next day one of the females from the church called me to find out if I wanted to hear about end-time prophecy ,and I told her she's in cult. She's like "Oh you got misinformation from people lying about us?" and I was like "I got this information on your website!" I later broke down the errancy of this group's beliefs, using Scripture, and I hoped I was able to point her to the truth of Jesus Christ according to the bible.
