James Gang was the first project to have Joe Walsh. James Gang released a few albums, Joe went solo for a few years, joined the Eagles for their last few albums in the 70's. When the Eagles took a 14 year break, Joe continued to record solo material. The Eagles reformed in the 90s and he's been a member since. When he's not playing with them or recording solo stuff, he has played with his brother-in-law Ringo Starr's All Starr Band from time to time.

Yep, this is Joe Walsh. He had a great solo career and joined the Eagles for a while, also doing solo stuff at that time. Highly regarded by the music industry and certified lunatic. Toured with and opened for The Who on their "Tommy" tour in '69. He said the scariest thing that ever happened was Keith Moon (Who drummer) said they were friends and they decided to stay up 'til the end of the tour, figured out together how to modify hotel rooms with a chainsaw. Later Joe sobered up and said "I only got drunk once. For thirty years!" Play anything from his "So What" album (solo) 1974. "Welcome to the Club" is a good start. Great reactions, thank you.

That’s Joe Walsh in his younger days. He’s been very prolific and and successful both as a solo artist and as a member of The Eagles. Walk Away, Turn To Stone, In The City and Rocky Mountain Way are some of his greatest hits. Probably his greatest work is the dual solo with Don Felder on Hotel California. That has been humorously referred to as a bad Yelp review with a 3 minute guitar solo 😂

This song came out in 1971. In 1984 the movie footloose ripped off this sound. When Joe Walsh was asked about it, he said oh well mozart never got royalties. Joe could afford to be generous. He made more money from his James Gang days, solo career, and career with the Eagles than he could spend on drinking and drugs. Joe said it was a miracle he survived and has been sober for a long time. Kenny Loggins, who wrote the song for Footloose claims he did not rip Joe off. I beg to differ. He is lucky Joe did not go after him as you can clearly hear the similarity. The James Gang was another power trio like Cream and Grand Funk Railroad.
