Have the regulations changed? According to the government website you used to have to register with your local authority if you sell direct or donate vegetables whether or not using an on line platform.

I'm not too sure how it works to be honest. I don't sell my extra produce, as we eat it all! But the sponsor is primarily aimed at the vegetable gardening audience as a whole / backyard growers. Not specifically allotment growers

When you remove or undo something, to me it's 'de'. I suppose it's down to preference or perhaps even depends where you are from. Americans might say 'weed' whilst I think a lot of British people like myself call it 'de-weeding'

Amazing harvest and a great job with deweeeding! I had to laugh a bit to your distress. But you fixed everything pretty good.

Great to see you can sell excess produce. My garden for the first time in years is going into spring tidy, did my first pull of stinging nettle seedlings yesterday, it wasn't a bucket full, usually one plant will fill a bucket. Happy Gardening from New Zealand.

If only we could weed that fast in real time! In spite of the weeds some great harvest hidden amongst the weeds. Well done!

Think I missed the carrot variety. They look fantastic.

They have done so well this year! My best year in 5 years at the plot. I think it's down to the beds being raised and being netted to stop the carrot root fly. And the soil being loose and sandy. The soil should not be rich in nutrients either so I'll be growing carrots in these beds again next year. The varieties I grew are early Nantes and autumn king.

Plots grow very quickly when your not around Jim.😊this may be a silly question Jim but you may remember I have cabbages growing in big buckets, the trouble is I don’t know what sort they are and when I can harvest them there quite big now,so I wonder can I eat all the leaves or do I wait till it harts up. Andy advice will help. Thanks for the video it’s nice to see you back.😊

Sorry for the late reply Sandra. I've been so busy and comments have been crazy! You can eat the leaves before they heart up. Just remove them and chop them up and eat them as you normally would 😊

It's easy to fall behinfd on thecweeding and general upkeep and pests seem to run a tag team system in destroying everything. I use the black plastic for growing my Onions, Pumpkins, Leeks and it just saves that time we never have to spare.

Save seeds from ripe items & plant them next year. Red pepper: SAVE. Tomatoes: SAVE (seeds must stand on countertop in water for 3 days to remove gel). Marigolds: SAVE. Green beans: SAVE each type, must be MATURE POD, really swollen & dry. Very nice harvest, but for the life of me I don’t know why Brits don’t vacation in October!!

Feeling it.😢 Concerned over your cob coverings!!! Whatever you are using is leaching chemicals into your veggies.😱😱😱 Just something to think about....🤔

Chemicals from what? I use socks to cover the cobs while they mature but that's only relatively short term

Everything has chemicals in it, even organic. Washing soda leaves chemical residue, chem trails, 😊etc.

@@krafterpcSo does rain. We’ve lived in a contaminated environment for decades. It’s a fact of life, unfortunately. Gardeners and farmers have to simply do their best.
