Can you check out Dreamcatcher? It's a Korean group that unlike the typical kpop groups, has rock and metal sounds. Their Japanese releases (No More or Endless Night, for example) showcase their heavier side, which is flat out metal. While their Korean songs (Good Night, Deja Vu or You and I, for example) have more of a pop-rock mixed with other genres sound. They also came out with a new release 4 days ago called Odd Eye, which has a rock and EDM flavor

Just like you I thought "No! Don't be over. I was really enjoying that! " Until very recently I shied away from Cattle Decapitation. I felt this is going to be far to brutal and heavy for me, and it is, but there is so much musicality from these guys that over rides my prejudice against whatever genre of metal this is.
