The lyrics are written from the viewpoint of an english pilot during the Battle of Britain (1940), so that where you get all the action, like scrambling to get off the ground, evading German planes, and fighting not only for England but for your life.

Kaireem, you know I'm one of them who is always happy to see you react to Tommy ( and Sabaton, Geoff or VoicePlay). How brave of you, to take on a song you feared would be out of your comfort zone. How lucky that wasn't the case in the end. Sometimes duty brings it's own reward. Subjectmatterwise (is that a word?) it's content is something one might expect Sabaton to cover, flying aces in the WWII, but it's really not their style of music, as I feel it.Tommy on the other hand, is perfect for both guitar solos and voice getting up there. Channel keeps growing I see. Keep up the good work. That guitar is one of his newest. That man keeps adding to his collection. In an answer to a comment he said he had about 30 guitars. Figure that number is closer to 35 by now. Yes, that Kee Marcello yellow one both looked and sounded beautiful. Jimi Hendrix's habit of wrecking his guitar on stage makes me wonder how many survived his too early demise. Must be highly collectable and expensive if there are any out there still existing.

Carina you beautiful person thank you 🙏🏾. Yes this was totally out my comfort zone but just as you said it didn’t make me dislike it. I loved Tommy cover and he smashed it ! One of the best covers I’ve heard from him. Oh okay thanks for the knowledge - makes a lot more sense now. I’m surprised people can keep up with the amount of guitars but I really liked this one. Yes I got the yellow one wrong 😅 (as in the name) but I love the style of guitars he’s got. 30 tho!! 🤯. Thank you carina for a lovely comment

Tommy did an amazing job with this song, one of his best covers. If you think you judged Iron Maiden too harsh and care to check them out, I suggest their song Hallowed be Thy Name. I think you might enjoy it, and more Tommy, of course. Btw, that "kid" is 35 years old, even though he looks 18 😂

Its about dogfights or airfights from WWII the battle of Britain, and Tommy going all in on this one. He is a world class singer and guitarist, a very good keyboardist and bassplayer and a good drummer, that is top notch!

It's about flying an military aircraft, so thats why he shouts "ROLLING!! DIVING!!" (since you wondered what those words referenced to).
