"I Was Denied Chemo."

Monique candidly shares her lung cancer journey after being diagnosed as a non-smoker in her 30s. Despite experiencing patient journeys in her medical profession, she was taken aback once she was denied coverage for chemo through her insurance. Monique is hopeful for how far she has come since being diagnosed and is hopeful that insurance coverage will consider what is in the best interest of the patient when making their decisions.

I had the reverse issue, chemo but no radiation coverage. But only after it had spread to stage 3. Insurance over a doctor's expertise can be so maddening. Thank you for sharing your story.
