My 6th grade teacher had that on the wall above the blackboard. Odd thing is, I had never seen any directions for MOLLE before. Every manufacturer I have gear from just assumed we all knew. I had to actively search to find some instructions, and glad I did.

Good idea to do this video mate. First time i set up my webbing i did it wrong and it wobbled all over the place. Luckily i spoke to someone who showed me the correct way to attach it like you demonstrate in the video. So a great tip for newbies who are not military etc but who appreciate using webbing 👍🏻 as always keep safe out there mate

I have molle webbing on my backpack, I like the customization options, for example in one section I cut the middle attaching thread between that two molle loops to make a bigger loop, which I can now fit my axe handle through but the axe head doesn't fit so now I'm able to carry my axe on the outside of my backpack instead of in my backpack or hand.

Most of my pouches are light and so slight movement not an issue. Plus most are velcro detectable with a quick connect to make sure they stay attached to the loop base that is attached to my backpack. Went ahead and changed them and they do not move at all. Not huge for my norm pack, but I can see this being really good for when I am adding a bit to my pack. Thanks, good info.

This is definitely gonna help. So for reference I have a molle panel that goes over the seat in my pick up & I've got 4 pouches on them all done the wrong way with a spare pouch that I've attached to a day bag essentially. I immediately changed the one currently on my bag but not the ones in my truck because I can use that to my advantage if I find myself in a situation where I need to quickly grab a pouch. If the need comes I can also quickly grab the pouches from my truck then correctly attach them to my pack (like with the previous pouch) then I can have a full set up on an otherwise light pack

Sotp it 🛑 Im a rucker. Old school throw bags + bindles. Vietnam and Korea vintage bags. Maybe mainly because the cotton is softer. The polyester cuts up my fingers. Rothco has nice remakes cheap project bags you gotta make mods the straps and buckles on the backpacks not so good.

I noticed how the webbing on the pouch doesn't always line up with the webbing on your tactical bag or plate, so it becomes a wonky, unless you just skip one or two weaves. I own a Brandit tactical sling bag and bought 2 small Brandit pouches for easy access to my KeySmart and knife. It is impossible to weave the strap through the top elastic band on the pouch. Weird, since both the tactical pack and pouches are from the same brand.

And if you have standalone MOD straps, you run one side straight through the PALS of the pack, and the other side you weave between the PALS of the pack and part you're attaching as shown here

The "Incorrect way" can actually be useful for things like First Aid & Tourniquet pouches so you can rip them out quickly and completely remove them from your bag to maybe hand them off to someone in an emergency, when time is of the essence but also maybe you're in a bug out situation & you're not sure who you can trust it saves you having to handover your entire backpack, perhaps your only lifeline for survival

IFAKs (even standard ussued ones) usually have an inner liner so you can open them, and deploy your kit quicky while the pouch stays on your gear. I probably would struggle more by ripping off the kit and trying to open it then try to find the stuff I need - open it on my gear, pull out the whole kit, unwrap it and use it is probably the better way.

I found it painfully obvious. With that said, I've had to teach several others. Some makers of gear need to watch this video. I've purchased several pouches that were made of good materials, and stitching was well done, that suffer from not understanding how it works when either designing or assembling them. This includes webbing spacing, and strap and snap placement.
