I went to the Hobonichi store, Tobichi in Tokyo on September 1st for the Hobonichi 2024 launch! I was in line with well over 50 people before the store opened and was able to get everything on my wishlist for a great price! My footage isn't the best but hopefully you will get the idea of what it was like to be there for such a big day! Will you be getting a Hobonichi planner for 2024?

I am 13 hours ahead of Boston time here in Japan and I was able to go to the Hobonichi launch at the Tobichi store here in Tokyo! it is under a half mile from my hotel! It was exciting to be there today and I wanted to share my experience with you! What's on your Hobonichi wish list??

I’m in Eastern time too and set my alarm to the equivalent time so that I could place my order from the Hobonichi store when they went live. You made out incredibly well with the prices, plus a fun trip to Japan! Plus, no taxes AND no shipping costs! Well done. How amazing that your hotel was so close to the store. Great haul.

Hi Lori! I’m so excited that you are in Japan…and how wonderful of an experience to get all your Hobonichi items at the launch in Japan!😊 Yes I want to continue with Hobonichi for year two for 2024. But I am curious about the HON version which will launch later…my cousin invited me to visit her in Japan so I may do what you did and plan for next year’s pen show and make it a longer trip…😮. But I want to try Travelers Notebook also this year too! I felt the Hobonichi Weeks was too small but I am almost done with my Hobonichi Cousin…can’t wait to see all your pen adventures! Have a wonderful time! Stay safe! And thanks for all the great content as usual…😊

I am so jealous that you have been to this store, and the TN store. I would have also hit up Loft for their exclusive covers and the Doraemon cover at the museum, and try to get my hands on the Moomin cover. It is great to visit the store, however, I think your plane ticket was more than your savings. Not be mean, but I thought of doing the same until I realized the cost of the ticket while watching your video. Though you get to experience the culture. I told my husband when i visit Japan I will pack my clothes in a carry on, and bring two empty suitcases for stationary and Disney Tokyo stuff. Same with South Korea.

I totally order my Hobonichi stuff from Japan. The price difference on the books alone made up for the shipping. And they had all the extras. The botanical pencil boards are so beautiful and I love the notebooks.

So funny, I used to stay at The Palace Hotel when I went to Tokyo on business and, after a career change, worked as a chef/baker at Starbucks Reserve in the US. What I remember about the subway system is the route map looks like a bowl of spaghetti and it was hard to navigate without help. But I loved shopping in Tokyo - everyone is so helpful and polite, and the quality is top notch! Enjoy your trip and safe travels!

I can’t believe how busy it was! You definitely picked the perfect cover, it’s gorgeous. I’m very confused by Hobanichi systems and not sure what the different ones really are or do, but they appear in most of my fav planning creator’s vids so hopefully I’ll understand one day! 😂❤🎉

Awesome video, love it! I'm thinking about the A5 notebook. I pre-ordered the Sterling Ink weeks for 2024. Im currently in the Techo original English version. I bought it online from the Hobonichi store. I like it a lot but want to try the vertical weeks layout in 2024. Thanks for sharing and look forward to your future videos

Going to Japan would be a nice experience if one is doing several things besides shopping for the planner. If just going by the cost of the trip, one might normally save more buying online I think (if you are leaving from the US).
