Pantheon was sooo underrated. Top tier hulk reading from the 90's I believe professor Hulk was the leader. Super funny and dope reading. 90s Hulk written by Pater David was classic. My wife picked up the Paperback trade back for me back then which had the Maestro in it. I believe it was called What savage beast.

Still deciding if I should go there and a few other places in the area or head up north to a few shops I haven't been to in a while. Decisions, decisions. Lol. Great video, store looks pretty nice. 👊🏼

Intentionally small new comics section to not cut into new England Comics business, no Warhammer so as not to compete with the local shop, and a great relationship with Eureka games just around the corner. I watch your Channel all the time, so it was great to see you at the Friar Tucks grand opening and then to see what a great time you had at his new place. As a fellow flea market and tag sale treasure hunter your show is the best!

I was getting Hulk back in the early 90s when Pantheon was in there and I thought they were ok. That was when Peter David was writing a smart Hulk and Dale Keown was doing the art, it drew me in for about 20 issues. Congrats on another Claremont X-Men checked off the list! 105 took me a while to find the right book at the right price in the wild. It was one I would see and when I decided to pull that trigger it would be gone. I'm getting there too. Great video as alway Mike, and that looks like a nice shop!

WOW! Now that's a great looking store. Looks very organized , bright and clean too. Congrads on your X-Men too. Man I loved Dave's art way before he even left DC to go to Marvel. He drew a great Superboy & the Legion of Superheroes/ LoSHs run. If DC hadn't ripped him off for his original art to pg splash wedding issues of LoSH #200? He probably would had come to Marvel in 74/75. Some of the X-Men like Storm & Night Crawler would of been in the LoSHs or villans of them. He created Night Crawler. While he was in the US Navy during Viet Nam in the late 1960's too. During a ty[poon, he couldn't sleep due to strong inds, lighting and thunder. He had several letter published in early Silver age Marvel comics too. He even met his first wife though a letters page. They both had letters pritned in the same issue I believe of the FF. So either he or she decided to write a letter to the other.

The highlight for me isn't a comic, it's Michaud's numbered reprinting of H.P. Lovecraft's sonnet cycle "The Fungi From Yuggoth" - a real rarity and so collectable for HPL or Weird Tales fans. True Love #1 is indeed a hard book to find in the wild because it's from Eclipse, which was a smaller publisher, it's a romance comic which has for a long time been a less popular genre and it's a reprint book. #2 is worth tracking down too due to the stories drawn by Nick Cardy, Alex Toth and Vince Colletta (whose romance art is much better than his inking-only work for Marvel in the Silver Age).

0:25 brookline massachusetts. Friar Tuck's... Opening? When so many shops are closing. Are they specializing in back issues? One tube said that comic book stores are closing because character concepts and storylines have shifted away from "tradition". Rob 5:00 the owner, 2+ year in the making! After seeing the prices, some at $45! I say prices for all issues have gone up much more than I knew since 2015.

Hey Mike. I had a really different experience. Based on your review I went there for the first time tonight. I got there an hour before the posted closing time but the door was locked. I called on my phone and heard someone on the other side of the door say they were closing soon. I explained I was just outside and I’d made a trek out here. I asked if I could just grab a packet of bags and boards. The guy hemmed and hawed then blurted out. “Nope we’re closed.”…. He wouldn’t give me any reason or any solutions. He was just abrupt and kinda rude. Not a good way to treat fellow members of the comic community… especially when the shop is about 50 feet away from another comic store.
