Killin was a sport in the 90’s…..St. Louis,MO 1992: I’m 14, classmate got executed in a trap house (plastic bag over the head and dome shotted) 1993-267 homicides (still the record for StL City) 1994-sisters boyfriend (hustler) gets kidnapped, fights back, shot multiple times, but turned the pump around and hit one of the kidnappers…He survived and escaped 1996: 3 classmates kill a rival’s brother, thinking it was their enemy, after the brother answered the door (mistaken identity)….One of the classmates snitches then gets killed by his best friend…..John locked up for double homicide ever since 1996: I witnessed a drive by on a classmate (he survived, but later committed suicide as an adult. His friend murdered years later, after an argument leaving the club [shot on the highway]) Weird part, I experienced all this trauma, and was never in the streets. I was a “B” student (literally walking home from school when I witnessed the drive by)…….You can break any cycle if you really want too…..👌🏾

@mitchellparis87312 жыл бұрын
Ya but all them stories you told was basically about people you know. None of them broke any cycle unless your sister's boyfriend changed his life after being kidnapped. Glad you never fell into the streets but it doesn't sound like they broke no cycle bro
@Egodestroyer9012 жыл бұрын
Same way in Memphis,TN. You ain't lying about the 90s.
@TheGobblersGetback2 жыл бұрын
@@mitchellparis8731 I hope that’s not the most important part you got out of my commentary….True, maybe some of the cycles in these people’s lives were or weren’t broken, I’ll probably never know, but at the very least, I’m an example of longevity, by not participating in my environment, and trust me, I had plenty of opportunity and offers too….The teen who was murdered by his best friend, he had a child on the way. That child should about 26 or 27yrs. old now, so hopefully he didn’t go the route of his pops…The child’s mother also attended our school, so maybe she was extra protective on what “not to do”. The teen executed in the dope house, his crime scene photo was actually shown to another classmate/friend of mine a few years later in a “scared straight” type program……He immediately yelled out the kid’s name, and detectives tried to act like they didn’t know…..Trust me, the detectives knew the background of every kid in the program, and the areas they frequented, so they tried to show that photo to scare him…..As for my sister, she dabbled with bad subjects the rest of her life, even being shot herself. She survived, finally had a daughter, and that changed her life. My niece is a straight A student, about to test for a “gifted program”…….The opportunities for change are always there, and sometimes in different/unsuspecting ways…..👌🏿.
