Spot on. It’s the true importance of what I call nature flow. Letting go of all the fears and illusions media and schooling of social cognitive dissonance can create to scare people into being afraid of new people. The thing to remember is we are all human living souls and often they will say poor countries are more dangerous or you can not trust such people, however I have discovered for myself the complete opposite , that in every case I witnessed, that they actually are more honest and caring and ethical to respecting others. In fact by fearing people or events you create and manifest a negative experience and it’s when action comes to reality shows what true or real person you are. It’s very nice to see there are some Americans who know about the nature flow of allowing life to be real and this makes you be wise. Living in the now moment. Letting go of all thoughts , every situation will work out just how it was destined and meant to be. I call this the sacred inevitable serendipity. ~E.G.Plott~

@@globallibran378 Yeah, I think what you mean. I'm guilty of watching pretty much all the stuff you mentioned. You know, there's a channel called "Police Activity." On this channel you can watch a person being killed by a cop, though sometimes a criminal shoots a cop dead. I sometimes watch this channel, even though I find it disgusting, to see someone die. The only reasonable explanation I can think of is why I watch people get shot is that I can watch it safely at home, from a safe distance, comfortably lying on the couch with a nice cup of coffee or tea. I’m an American living in Minas Gerais, Brasil. I think sometimes people are scared of certain areas just because they are more poor. I live rural and you have to pass a poor neighborhood on the way to my house. I had a friend who lived in the city who was scared to even drive by the area! I laughed at her. I was like these people are nice. I give them rides to and from town. Just wave or honk and say, “Oi,” to people, and they’re nice to you, in general.

American living in the hills around Rio :) I also have never had issues. Since I'm a foreigner, I can get away with seemingly just about anything as long as filming/a phone isn't involved....I remained blissfully ignorant that a staircase here was forbidden for 4 years. I only found out after my local friend went up it with me and they decided to "give her permission" to use the staircase. They left me alone. Some areas here require you to stop, roll your windows down, and blink your lights before entering. I hear the stories of my coworkers, who live in favelas, and I can respect why people have fear as the same "nice" people I've probably passed on the street may have executed brutal community justice the other day.

At 17, I was getting into my car and thinking about how still, I was unsatisfied. I heard a voice say "You'll never be satisfied until you give me 100%." I knew it was God but still didn't hand my life over. 8 years later, Jesus found me again and when I realized what He had to give, I left it all. He called me to the addicts/street kids here around Niterói. 0 regrets - the joy of getting to share Him makes everything else seem like nothing.

It's all about your attitude whether you are in danger or not. When you are open and friendly, so are most people. Many Americans go to other countries with a superior attitude, so they don't have such a friendly time. Tommy, I wish more people would represent Americans the way you do.

That's not the issue. There are normal people (98%?) and there are criminals (2%?). Normal people may like you or not but they'll not try to rob you each way. Hey, captain obvious here. Unless they are going to some party, do you guys really think these girls usually walk on the streets of that place dresssed like that? He knew them before making the video. It was all setup, between the tree of them. At the begining and at the end you can also tell, by the way the girls speak, that it was scripted. They speak in an unatural way, like bad actors do. Also, note how at the end he says "you are suposse to keep going". They didn't actually split up after he stoped filming. They migth be randon girls he met somehow or they migth be prostitutes he payed to have some fun with, but they didn't actually meet at the begining of the video, that's for sure.

Joseph it's very different here... almost nobody is armed for protection... mostly just criminals have guns... Saturday I was in the middle of nowhere walking to get to a waterfall... this guy walked up to told me to go with him and he was going to get me to the warerfall.. I was thinking it was a setup... the locals saw me cross the flooded road by myself and spoke to my wife who is brazillian... they knew it would take me a long time to get where I wanted to go so they came to my rescue so to speak... even when you are in the middle of nowhere you are at risk here... i just try not to make myself a target... there is no fooling anyone they all know I'm an american

@PremoMeztiso actually they were trying to take him to a trap. Their “boyfriends” are local cartel members (probably members of a smaller set of the cartel, but still dangerous, considering the #1 leader is currently being held at that State’s federal penitentiary), which means they thought it would be wise to kidnap and rob a gringo with a camera. He’s still too innocent... and a thing that made it very obvious to me was when the most beautiful lady said she was from Santarém/PA and that they ate açaí with milk and fruits, while the truth is that in the vast majority of Pará we absolutely despise the way people consume açaí in other states, which is all that bs of adding sweet stuff to it. Sorry if it sounded confusing... I have already drank a few beers by now haha

Being kidnapped by other kids from your hometown who made up a supremely sophisticated method of following someone all that way, to sell and to get rid of them. Attempted murder, destruction of self respect of another human, they must have had a criminal background in human trafficking to have such connections to where they took me in the baggage compartment. And why were they pulling who was sold along in the jungle to the plane? They had sold me, so for not stopping the joke at any moment and letting me go to my brother at a school by a boat that was coming the next day was stupid of them and its their own fault. Doing time in prison for their illegal act especially of someone who was obeying the great commission to take the gospel into all the world and maybe going to do some Bible translation help is what the minister and his gang should have been doing themselves. They were not obedient to God to go into all the world for the sake of the gospel, so their punishment should be however many years in prison the judge in the court gives any of them who can be caught. They lived wasted lives in my hometown, drinking and partying for 40 years.

Here is what happened to my friend in Brazil: He went into a dangerous Favela in Rio De Janeiro and a woman took him deep up these stairs into a mountain up high. Then, the sun went down and he had to walk back down alone. My friend is whiter than the whitest guy you can imagine. On his way back down in a mostly black neighborhood to his hotel he was robbed. They took his camera, his wallet, his comb, his pants, his shoes, his shirt, his socks and stuck a carrot up his A^^. He started yelling for help and they ran away. Someone turned on the lights in their yard and saw my friend on the ground naked with the carrot sticking out. The owner of the house got him a pair of pants and a t-shirt and spoke a little English and put my friend in his car and drove him back to the hotel. My friend bought a plane ticket a few hours later and left the country immediately. I'm not saying this will happen with every tourist. I'm just saying be careful.
