@@TheKeksletsplay yeh I felt bad about Marco… It looked to me like Julie was about to genuinely miss out on a possibly great guy in this vid until Mirror Julie made it clear she knew Marco and knew he sent that playlist out to everyone at which point it was obvious he was not particularly genuine at all..😔 I’m not sure this video constitutes an attempt at genuine love bombing, but even if that was what it was, love bombing is only distinguished from genuine affection by the removal of affection at a later stage. Even the slightly toxic “I feel so bad when you don’t reply quickly” that Marco was associated with could still just be romantic honesty and not manipulative. It’s only manipulative when the intention is to take those affections away once the other person is hooked so that they might feel compelled to try to get them back. As far as I understand the concept anyway. Xx
@SepiaMaddy2 жыл бұрын
@@Joseph_Roffey The true difference (and the reason why kicking Marco to the curb is a good thing) is that he doesn't have enough emotional intelligence to recognize that it's not possible to love someone enough to spend the life with them when they haven't even met yet. That's not love, that's infatuation in the best case scenario. Worse even: it's infatuation with a mostly imaginary person because the brain just fills in the gaps with some "romance" when you barely know someone. To know someone takes time and opportunities so see them how they really are. That's why I absolutely agree with the Julies and say bye to every Marco out there. A very similar thing happened to me, but for my case the girl portrayed like she was hurt by previous guys, which made me feel responsible to behave best as I can with her. This girl was truly love bombing me with needless amount of messages but I felt was real love while I was just her time pass object. Later I gone through a long process of being manipulated, ghosted then treated like " I cannot give my important time for you " & "I am breaking up" but I still want you as my friend. I guess it took me 4 months to just recover from that trauma.

I won't lie to you, as relatable as the sketches are, Julie's ads are what set her apart. Where other youtubers give the plug in rote monotone, almost putting you to sleep, Julie actually sounds like she believes in the product. She's uncommonly diversified. She's just too cool for school.

It’s more often than not pathological but not malicious. He probably has BPD. In which case his ghosting, rejecting, you or abusing you is a result for splitting an episode of BPD secondary psychopathy. But he might be high functioning psychopath or narcissist. They tend to either probe for weakness straight away or they love bomb for few weeks or months, then they either betray you or feign helplessness to use you, or they eventually boundary push in increasingly abusive ways in order to control you.

I kinda love that you leave stuff in that we can hear is part of your process but didn't make it. Like mirror Julie not coming up with a hydrochloride comparison. And the white board not being 100 percent necessary. Bit appreciated. I love the drawings. And also the warning about love bombers.

See, as a person on the spectrum I have a hard time processing and containing emotions, let alone excitement for a partner. But because of things like this, I need to mask even more to fit into society. Trying to stick out from the crowd, woops that's love bombing! Have feelings too soon? Red flag! It's good to have discussions, ghosting people is impolite and can hurt people who are genuinely good people! Edit: while I do respect anyone who's been abused in this way, I too have been abused. I think part of breaking the cycle is talking about it. While there will be people that won't change, or lie about their intentions... I think it's important to carefully consider who it is you are dealing with through deliberate conversation. Being ghosted can be very upsetting for me because then I have no clue what I did wrong, which makes it hard for me to then know what society expects of me. Maybe someone else might get mad or brush it off, but for me it further deepens the mental anguish of not being able to connect with another human being. I'm sorry if you've been abused, and I know I can never make it right... but as the sages known as Death Cab For Cutie once said, these hands hold no guns.
@oromain2 жыл бұрын
Yeah this video didn't sit right with me for the similar reasons. I've always been one to get swept up into a new relationship very passionately. I mean, isn't this what we all call the "honeymoon phase?" But I've never up and ghosted someone after "having my fill", I'm always in it for the long haul. The weird thing about this video is it ends with her deciding to ghost the guy because she assumes he's going to ghost her. She's just done the very thing she assumed the worst about in him. Perhaps, especially since he's a fictional character made to prove a point, he indeed was this "love bomber" type who drains whatever they want from people and moves on to the next. I still am not sure it's a great idea to make this implication that any overly passionate lovey dovey person is someone you need to ghost and cut off from your life. I mean, I can 100% understand setting boundaries and being like "hey you are coming off way too strong right now can we dial it back" or even breaking up if it's too much, but I don't feel great about assuming malicious intent from it.
@moirarinn78262 жыл бұрын
But... be mad at the abusers, not other victims. It's not our fault that predatory men have adopted tactics similar to how you express yourself. You want us to expose ourselves to harm because he might be like you when the chances are much more likely he's a predator. Here's the thing with dating and meeting new people, we all mask at first. Do you think you are being required to do something no one else does? Literally everyone, once they get to know people, drops the mask and show themselves... but, none of us have the luxury to just be who we are all the time and not get hurt most of the time. And I'm on the spectrum too, it's not an excuse. I don't deserve other people putting themselves at risk, because they might not like me.
@Bigredhound2 жыл бұрын
Another person on the spectrum here. I think Moira here makes a very salient point. I’m not upset that someone thinks I’m too much and ghosts me, I’m upset with the guys that came before me and created the situation.
@anonymususer17288 ай бұрын
@@moirarinn7826 "You want us to expose ourselves" "Expose" yourself ? How ? You just go with the flow, and if at some points it gets too much for you, you dial it down. If he refuses, you end it. "he might be like you but the chances are much more likely he's a predator" And how do you know that ? Statistically it's the other way around: normal people are more frequent. "we all mask at first" Could you please stop speaking for everyone ?! You seem to think you know everything and everyone, but newsflash, you don't ! I don't mask ! And I know other people that don't as well. "Masking" is the very reason relantionships fail ! You pretend to be someone you're not, and then you're fucking surprised when the partner leaves you when he finds out you're a different person. Shocking, I tell you ! 😒
