Thanks for the vid. Insightful outro. I fish (almost) every day & seeing so many fish being kept is a little annoying. These guys had a cooler taking every bass they caught out of my favorite little pond to put in their "trophy pond." I don't say anything, and it's their right to do so, but I can't stand it. Doing it for days at a time keeping everything. After other folks yoink anything that will bite a hook out to eat and the "trophy pond" people, you can really feel a spot deteriorate.

Agree, there are many local places that get fished around here and people keep everything ... I know that the regulations let them but still keep taking and there will be none left! Nice video Josh

hTanks for the video Josh! I have to mention that this California boy I just had the best evening of northern Minnesota Walleye fishing of the summer. I released two 22’s (as required by the slot size limits) and kept twin 19’s. I never got a limit of Walleye before this year (and not counting tonight because I released two, )I’ve had 4 limits this year. It’s taken me four years (since we got a cabin by my in-laws) to figure out how to catch walleye and I think I’m finally getting there.

In summer, the treatment plants often release water cooler than the water temp of the river. That’s why cooler water species (ex walleye) go to them in summer
@aaronrichmond44402 жыл бұрын
interesting 👍
@dogyerf212 жыл бұрын
Nailed it. Walleye seek colder water during the hot part of summer. I chase them from the shallow west basin of Lake Erie early in the year and end up in the much deeper colder east basin in the heat of summer.
@lukeb47752 жыл бұрын
Yes sir I couldn't agree more. That's also why you find them at the thermocline in the middle of summer.

@hughparkhurst54942 жыл бұрын
First of all I like your videos and I watch them all. But I do have a comment about the video where you talk about the 💩 creek. Walleyes would not be so abundant it were polluted. And the water being discharged is treated and clean when it's put back into the water system. I really do understand your reluctance to eat them LOL. THANKS for the entertainment. Shouldve tried corn, must be like a natural food source for the fishes around a neeeebraskan poop plant! Altho, dont buy cheap corn, the canned cheap corn is basicaly corn thats been filtered at a poop plant and re canned, apparently they can clean and can a kernel around 17 times!

We had a water troff that had a fresh water well run into it.. and when we would catch fish in the middle of the summer we'd leave em in the water trough for 2-3 days and they would be as clean as ever and you could noticably taste the difference after the 2-3 day sat fish vs a fresh out of the river
