Ever since the notion of a traitor came up, the one I've been most suspicious of is actually York. As far as the other Vegapunks are concerned, she only exists to eat, sleep, and use the bathroom on their behalf. That seems like a strong foundation for a revenge/betrayal motive, not to mention that she likely isn't watched too closely by the others and could probably orchestrate the imprisonment of the various Cipher Pol members. And while she has been petrified by S-Snake, that could have been an order with further instructions to undo the petrification after the coast is clear. Though as I type this, the thought occurred to me that there's no reason why it has to be only one traitor. That's just an assumption based on the fact that Kanjuro was the traitor during the last major arc. It could actually be two or three of them working in coordination. In that case, I think the only ones who are really in the clear are Lilith and Shaka, they just seem too earnest about protecting the island and Vegapunk. And any who have been injured or petrified prior to this latest chapter (since I still believe Lilith and Shaka are not suspicious enough) are at the top of my list of prime suspects. York (as mentioned above) and that baby-faced giant one whose name I'm forgetting are the ones I'm most suspicious of. Baby-face says they can change their face whenever which tells me they can disguise themselves as someone else. At any rate, I'm looking forward to the next chapter as it comes out.

Clues I can think of so far : -The seraphims are being ordered by a Vegapunk -Most of them have robotic bodies that can be switched around -Vegapunk ate Brain Brain Fruit that increased his brain space. But is that all the fruit's capable of? So either : -The satellites spare body parts somehow come to life by itself -This is Punk Record comes alive thanks to the fruit's power, and they have Skynet incident atm

If not the Vegapunks, then who’s been trapping all the agents who infiltrated for the last few weeks or months? And for what purpose? Why not just kill them outright instead of letting them starve to death? Too many questions…

I mean you can see that each of these satellites were given time and effort to look the best that they can, and it pays off! Whenever I see a new character in a chapter I'm like "Oh I wanna know how the artist in Liam's videos draws this guy!". And I really dig the coloring!! My crack theory is that the traitor could be S-Mingo. This chapter was mind-blowing (Shaka would agree). The fact, that none of the Vegapunks seems to be the traitor just brought up so much confusion. My main-theory was pretty much debunked with Edison down. Shaka could still be alive tho, as we don't know how he actually looks like under the helmet and weither that really was blood that was coming out there or not. Maybe that was oil or something else. Otherwise this would have really been the most shocking on-screen death, like a damn jumpscare~ Considering how Shaka behaved, I highly doubt he is evil. He was panicking, even when nobody was around. So yeah, it seems to be someone we have not yet been introduced to (during this arc atleast). Another interesting thing to point out however is the cover-story!! Caesar and Judge got together and are seemingly plotting against Vegapunk. What do they plan?

Don't confuse Vegapunks "Good" personality trait in Shaka, with the narratively "good". Your latter sentence almost had it. Akainu as example also thinks of himself as good, but Luffy definitely doesn't. Because good and evil are relatiive, and Vegapunk is a mad-scientist afterall. I like how much Egghead Island is parallel to Water 7 and kinda Enies Lobby. An island related to progress, Enemies who must work with the Straw Hats to defeat a greater threat, The OHARA Incident, possibly a betrayal or a stealth job to capture knowledge capable of threatening the world. Besides that we can sit and talk that probably no matter what happens the Vegapunks may die, that whole Marine armada will destroy Egghead along with VP Island Sized Brain which will probably result in VPs disconnection and possible death of stella. Plus The final thing for now my choice for who shot Shaka is Lafitte

This is a random idea, but remember the gloves that can touch holograms. What if the the holograms attained sentience, or Punk Records took control of them. They are using the gloves to hold the gun/mess with certain things. It wouldn't be unbelievable to see them be able to wear the gloves, since the gloves can touch the holograms anyway. This would also bring the idea of "what is real and what is not" that Atlas mentioned when we first met them.

My idea is that Greed is the traitor. She is supposed to be one of the Vegapunks, the greatest minds and inventors in history, but all of the other Vegapunks just use her for their base urges like eating, sleeping, going to the toilet, etc. She is essentially a slave in a kind of disturbing way. The frequent visits to the kitchen, toilet or bed could easily mask her doing other activities as well. Great ideas and plans can also be made while pooping. Also, Oda loves the reveal of a sweet, innocent character into a secretly deranged and calculated mastermind (Pudding for example). Its probably wrong, but its my theory until otherwise disproven.

I can see Saturn not clashing with the strawhats but maybe instead talking to them and maybe even helping them off the island, my reasoning for this. Is because I got a feeling Imu has told them not to touch Strawhat because Imu has plans for Luffy and his Crew. So instead can see Saturn acting like Garp did in Water7 and maybe this time we find out about Luffy's mother straight from a Elder Star and finally get some lore drop behind Dragons reason for becoming a Revolutionary.

I need more stussy and Jinbei interactions now that @GrandLineReview has teased me with what it might look like oda make it happen. The fact sanji left Jinbei with stussy kinda makes me suspect her again tho I’m not entirely sure if she could give Jinbei the slip and shoot Shaka I mean she could bite Jinbei but idk Jinbei is too smart. I’ll admit I did at one point think it could be Catrina Devon Lafette or caribou behind it as well but that would be a stretch to pull off. So the only two possibilities I see besides the satellite are the seraphim or punk records.

Speaking of story setups. The part where York's head was smashed in. Then the next time we see her She's fine. Had a replaceable head. I get those vibes from Shaka being shot. Although, was there blood when Atlas got smashed? The petrification: It'll probably end up like you said. The clone will fall in love with Luffy and reverse it on his request. But do you think the real Boa Hancock could reverse it? Because they are kind of the same person? Zoro realization panel made me crack up

York's head was smashed in?, all we see is she is turned to stone her head is never smashed considering the devil fruits rely on the lineage factor...potentially Hancock can reverse the petrifications of S-Snake and vise versa, since they share the same lineage factor

But then, I believe, the next chapter York is fine. And when asked how? York mentioned something about replaceable body parts. Just screwed on a new head.

I was just watching a video of yours about the darker elements of One Piece, and there’s a quick clip during Rob Lucci’s flashback that shows the exact same gun as in this chapter, barely on screen. Kind of got me thinking about Hattori and my head canon has always been that it’s not just a pigeon, but a person perhaps a fruit eater. I would be blown away if Rob Lucci’s pigeon was behind the events of Egghead. Kind of hilarious to think about for a moment.

one thing about the sanji vs s-shark fight is that the reason for his anger couldve been the recent bounty drops made jinbe's higher than his own, so hes so mad at that fact he'll beat up the seraphim version just to get back at him lmao also i get the feeling shaka could really be dead due to him PREDICTING HIS OWN DEATH just a couple of chapters ago

My guess is that the culprit was another vegapunk that the stella decided to decommission for some reason because you can see that when the stell sees the culprit he acts as if he is seeing someone dead and it makes a lot of sense

As soon as this chapter came out I thought of just one person, or maybe two people! The person who shot Shaka and disabled the cameras is most likely caribou, but not by himself, but with the help of a traitor. That traitor being either Pythagoras or stuttsy, after seeing how both are reacting rn to the whole egghead situation and how calm they are, I believe like one of them could be the traitor with the help of caribou

Solid points about Devon and Van Auger. I like Punk Records/another VP clone/satellite theories the most. I agree the gun feels a bit distinctive to me. It actually makes me wonder about Seraphim Doffy. I think the idea that Seraphim Doffy and Croc work together is cool bc it reminds me of their talk at Marineford iirc and Doffy wanting Croc to work together

I will not be surprised assuming Shaka is seen alive & well in the very next chapter. However, with him, York, Lilith, and Stella crossed off the list of potential suspects, I am starting to wonder if the "traitor" is not exactly someone within Vegapunk's inner circle, but rather someone with similar knowledge on Egghead as the scientist himself!

Shaka is a reference to the South African king of the same name who was killed by his two brothers and considering Edison is Mark 3 which means Vegapunk's Edison body has had two previous bodies I'm of the view that we have seen a previous body of Vegapunk before in the form of Vice-Admiral Doll as Edison 1 or 2 renamed herself. Her alias of Doll is a reference to a British punk band of the same name and punk is a reference to Vegapunk.

S-Flamingo seems to be a popular theory. A seraphim made in the lab who also stand to question nature vs nurture, as well as bringing back up the concept brought in at the beginning of the arc: that robotic and scientific enhancements cannot subdue inherent instinct.

I love all the ideas floating around on who the shooter is. Personal favorite at the moment would be Imu. The last clue we're given is the onomatopoeia at the end of the chapter "KTOK" that some people said was possibly indicative of high heels. And considering everyone that was properly introduced so far was given new outfits and gravity boots, that would mean a new 3rd party that bypassed the costume change.
