It’s basically a swat simulator, they’re just messing around. You’re typically going through the locations slow, methodically, tactically like how careful a real swat team would me. Hopefully arresting perps (if they don’t surrender, light them up) and rescue any hostages.

Ready or Not is basically a SWAT game in which you get to play out real world scenarios where you respond to situations, and it's up to you and your friends to choose how to tackle the situation.

Karma and all those Milsim youtubers are actual living gods, not only are they on point in games like this, but they really know how to get in the mindset and treat them seriously. Obviously its just a game and they still goof off a bit, but tactical games like this are so fun when they are played with full cooperation like a real life or death scenario. I am not at all criticizing how smi77y played it though, I love his content, it's just a different style of content than the large scale MILSIM stuff that Drewski, Karma, and all them pull off. Two different kinds of youtube gaming, both equally amazing.

4:50 the topic the were talking about is very unfortunate for that specific map...like very unfortunate that is one of the most horrifying maps in the game. Ready or Not is a tactical shooter pitting a team of swat officers against bombs, active shooters, raids, hostage situations, etc. It is made to be quite realistic and brutal, if you aren't coordinating with your team and paying attention constantly you will simply die, no respawn, no chance to react, and it puts you in brutal situations where figuring out who's friend and foe is very difficult. Some civilians will fake surrender and then rush you with a knife, shooters will use civilians as shield, its a crazy one. People form what is called MILSIM (Military Simulation) groups in games like this where they use tried and true formations, callouts, tactics, rules of engagement, etc to clear places with minimal casualties on very hard difficulties. The map that they were playing on when those unfortunate jokes happened is specifically a trafficking raid..one involving children. The basement section of this map has a children's bedroom, filming equipment, a number of suggestive photographs hung up, incredibly dark stuff that is likely not going to be shown in this video. This game has been in controversy for how it mirrors real life occurrences, club shootings, meth lab raids, all of it, the one thing they have steered clear of is schools, which makes sense, but still, I am in awe of how gut wrenching they managed to make it seem, even through admittedly low tier graphics and somewhat clunky gameplay at times. (Edit: 5:32 that is a detail that I never noticed after playing this map a good few times, but this absolutely is in the game and it is linking the peda vs. p*do thing. Amos, the owner of the house, is a wealthy human trafficking p*dophile, that whole mission is about taking him captive.)

Realistic SWAT Simulator is good way to sum up the game. You do have to find people. The NPC's do spawn in random area's every time you load a map. Also in that map with the Party their are trophies in the shape of reproductive organs. They guy who owns it was porno director also involved in human trafficking.

It's crazy, Seeing such a serious game get completely undermined by a few idiots lol. This comment is for EVERYONE, Ready or not isn't a funny game, Smitty and his friends are just funny people. Remember that difference. Don't play ready or not expecting laughs, because in reality, it's possible to come out of this game a different person. You will see things no one should see, and that no one should be victims of. If you're not careful it can break you. I'm not saying it WILL but it sure as hell can if you aren't prepared.
