I was on Irish language television in Ireland, speaking in Irish to ‪@BlocTG4‬ for ‪@TG4TV‬ with Micheál O'Ciaraidh. We talked about ‪@facts‬, ‪@TheTRYChannel‬, and also, we spoke about a time where I had to go to the Gardaí (police) because someone was threatening me on Twitter. Watch the full video on the BlocTG4 channel for the rest of that story!

I always find your Gaelige videos interesting as a person who speaks Welsh as a first language. I can’t understand 99% but I still find it fun to see and hear ☺️

On one of my trips to Ireland we went to one of the Aran Islands for a day, and at one point we passed a pair of older gentlemen walking down the road speaking in Irish to each other. That was the first time I'd ever heard it, and I didn't find out till later that those islands are one of the places that it's spoken as a primary language. Very cool.

Congratulations on your being on TV! I've been learning Irish through Duolingo since 2017 and you & Bandeadd (Éadaoin) doing some of your content in Irish were a big part of piquing my interest in this amazing language.

There is a part of Canada where Gaelic is spoken, Scottish Gaelic however. On Cape Breton Island Scottish Gaelic is spoke next to Mikmaq, the original language of the First Nations of Cape Breton. A version of Paul McCartney's "Blackbird", in Mikmaq, is available on KZbin.

So jealous you were in Spailpín. Everytime I come home from England I drive out to Spiddal for the views, the fresh air, the beach and to purchase something from Spailpín. Have Tóg go bog é on my car. A dub reg beeped at me on the M1 a few months back after seeing it! Made my day!

I’m a bit foggy headed, but it was sweet hearing you speak Irish like my dad did when he was taking Irish in Chicago two decades ago. Every once in awhile he would, when he was practicing for class, go through a few phrases when he thought no one could hear them. So I heard it rarely.

I sub to TG4! I would love to see the summer college vlog♡ I learned Irish first at home, then became all English speaking. Now i am relearning it, but the proper way. When you learn because it's the only thing spoken in the home, you miss out the "rules of grammer". Add to that not using it for 40yrs and I've lost a lot of vocab. But, watching TG4 and subbing to the Irish kid shows (5 per day on YT), it is amazing how much i still can understand!

Well done Claire! I'm learning Gaidhlig right now, and it was interesting to watch you speaking Gaeilge, because I'm a little familiar with your mannerisms and I was surprised at how many words I picked up. Ofc most of them were the common ones that the two languages share like "agus" but it was fun to try and hear the similarities.
