Hi Ryan, I love your personality, I subscribed to both of your channels 💖I relate to ALL of your experiences ! I left my home Country, Italy, just before finishing university and I graduated while I was living in Paris. Even though Paris is such a huge and romantic dream for so many people, the level of criminality I have experienced while living there made it a nightmare for me ! I left Paris to live in London which is a heaven of peace and safety compared to the Parisian criminality always on the rise ! I do not understand why the government doesn't seem to do anything against it ! I still want to go back to Paris, one day, but it will be with someone special, there are so many beautiful things to see and experience in Paris, but you have to be in "War zone mode" if you let your guard down someone will rob or scam you, that 's just how it is ... we cannot change it , but if we know we can deal with it better and have a better experience 💕 thanks for sharing you are amazing and with this video you inspire and give hope to so many other people in similar situations around the world. I live in France and we go to Paris a lot. Yes pretty much everyone has their phones out but so many ppl get their phones stolen daily like this. Theft is so normal that police dont bother with them anymore. Never have anything in your pockets, dont listen to music or have your phone out. They single out their targets. This is a profession and not just stealing phone on a whim. I always have my bag under my coat so when ppl brush up against you and stick their hands in your pocket they find nothing. My bf had his credit card stolen from the front pocket of his jeans while standing on a packed bus in Paris. That was done by gypsies. But you need to be careful pretty much everywhere in France. Theft is huge.

Unfortunately this happens a lot to tourists in Paris. The snatching the phone before the doors close is a very commun way. In paris you should ideally not use an iPhone (they get noticed easily) but if you do when you use it in the metro always keep a finger at the top. It's a good trick that works

I'm sorry to hear that you had such an absolutely terrible week. There's an old saying called "Murphy's Law", which says that "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.". Your experience seems to prove the validity of Murphy's Law! But think of what a great story this will make if you ever decide to write an autobiography of your life in the future. This is a chapter in itself! Also, as a tech geek myself, if you don't already do it, I would suggest backing up all your photos and TikTok videos to an external hard drive plugged into your laptop computer. Once backed up, unplug and store the external drive away until you need to backup more files. Always best to have multiple copies of important things.

Idk what country of Europe you mean, but the thing with surveillance is not the case for most countries here lol
@Mark-in-Texas Жыл бұрын
Some of the European police themed television shows and movies often have the police looking over CCTV footage. Cameras are often shown attached to most of the buildings, giving an appearance that everything is under surveillance. I guess it must be another thing the film industry deceives people about. One would think that a public transportation station would have video cameras filming everything though. Here in the United States, I think most public transit stations have video cameras. Actually, I think surveillance is getting excessive. I live in a small city, and we have cameras at the roadway intersections that have traffic signal lights, which they probably look at the recorded video if a significant event occurred in the area, to see what vehicles have come and gone. My work has video cameras now too. With the price for security cameras getting much more affordable, as well as memory storage, cameras are going up everywhere in the US. @@scabbedcinnamonroll6353
