*ALL HAIL BO-KATAN, THIS IS THE WAY!!* I’ve said for years that she could be the best ruler Mandalore has ever had, and she’s more than proven that. She was the true titular Mandalorian this season. I’m also so happy that the Mandalorians *FINALLY* have their home back but more than that, they have truly been united. And seeing the Great Forge reignited was beautiful. I still can’t believe how many people thought that one of the Mandalorians would’ve been a spy for Moff Gideon, especially The Armorer! What just because she’s mysterious, has horns on her helmet?!?! I blame the fact that the last episode was called The Spies, which was a horrible title because there has only been 1 spy and it’s Elia Kane. Also, all I have wanted was for Din and Grogu, (I’m sorry, Din Grogu) to find a nice, peaceful and beautiful place to relax and call home. And all the frogs to play with/eat.

We are literally introduced to the Shadow Council, all of them likely in important positions throughout the galaxy, but secretly spies for the rebuilding Empire. At least I thought that made sense...

Why on Earth would they destroy such an iconic and legendary Mandalorian artifact and weapon as the Darksaber?

The darksaber represented and even encouraged infighting between Mandalorians for over 1000 years. The whole point of it being destroyed was to further reinforce the line " we are stronger together " and new change of the Mandalorian culture. They're done fighting each other, it is time to rebuild. To then go back and rebuild the darksaber would be a HUGE MISTAKE! Din Grogu is now canonically on track to become the new Tarre Vizsla. Maybe in another 1000 years people will be fighting over the saber he will eventually build.

No, Din hadn't adopted Grogu officially. At the end of s1, Din takes guardianship of "the Foundling" Grogu to deliver him to his people (the Jedi). Then we have Grogu choosing Din as his father/people on BOBF when he returned to Din, then this season, Din *finally* adopts Grogu as his own.

My favorite part was Bo-Katan vs Moff Gideon. I’m sad that she lost the dark saber, but she got to unleash her inner rage. I’m also glad IG-11 is back and got a great upgrade. Taika Waititi is always a win. I can’t wait for the movie he’s working on.

The Star Wars movie that Taika is working on has been axed. He's good for little stuff like this episode, but when he has something of the magnitude of a movie to work on, he tends to go a little bit off the proverbial deep end. I was worried this episode would have too much of TW's patented "silliness" to it, but I'm glad I was wrong. When he has someone containing in his own wackiness as a creator, he's actually quite good.

It took 3 people to beat Gideon and dropping a star cruiser on his head to beat him. Gideon destroyed the Darksaber and probably would've killed Bo if Dinn and Grogu hadn't jumped I'm. I wouldn't call that easy.

Even though the Mythosaur is the apex predator of Mandalore, it seems to also be a gentle giant in that it didn't attack Din Djarin and Bo-Katan as they were heading back above the water. Mandalore the Great tamed and rode the mythical beast, so it seems to be gentle towards Mandalorians, and most likely only attacks those it deems a threat to Mandalore and its people 🤔.

Please, please, please give Andor a second chance. I know its a little bit slow in the beggining but it's totally worth the watch, I would say is the best satar wars series along with the mandalorian and that's too much to say. It's increbile so I hope you can get into it :c

I think believing Gideon was taken down too easily is assuming that new suit didn't protect him from the fire. I personally don't think he's gone for good, and I don't think he would store every clone in one place.

This, I don't know if we'll see the "original" Gideon again, we might because that suit is well equipped, but if nothing else I would bet actual money on us seeing one of the clones with force powers. They've been setting this up from the beginning, no way they're letting it go that easily. Also like you pointed out, no way he'd store them all in one place, especially a place he has reason to suspect will be attacked soon. Gideon might be arrogant but he's not stupid.

I know there wasn't a body, but I don't really need Gideon to come back. The only situation where I want him to come back is if he's going to be a punching bag for Thrawn. Also, I don't see how simply imbuing his clones with the Force is supposed make them an unstoppable army. Who did he think was going to train them how to USE the Force? Bo-Katan didn't place the bomb, the other one did, further into the tunnel out of sight of the stormtrooperlorians. That's why Bo-Katan did her little jetback boost there, to get past it before they walked into it.

Huyang, the droid from rebels that helped build lightsabers and has records on all the official sabers built, and is 1000+ yrs old, is in Ahsoka - he could, easily, help Grogu, or someone else, rebuild the darksaber, since the Mandos are confirmed to appear in Ahsoka at some point - it could show back up, at least as parts, at some point

Thanks for sharing your review. Never shy away from sharing your honest feelings about something even if it's not all positive. Agreed it was the weakest of the Mando seasons. S3 wasn't nearly as horrible as Kenobi and Fett but it still didn't come close to reaching its potential. Reuniting Grogu & Din in BOBF instead of in S3 of Mando was a huge mistake that hurt the show. Having them reunite in such a lesser series in BOBF was blatantly crowbarred and reeks of corporate meddling by Kennedy. There was no regard and no knowledge of good storytelling. Just looking out for the bottom line. Grogu is our cash cow. Put him back in the show or else. Also although I like Bo and her character arc, I didn't like how much Din was sidelined to show it. Both of their stories should've been equally as compelling. Not only did Din have no character arc whatsoever. But worse he even had a character regression. He took his helmet off twice in S2 representing him becoming a less isolated, more open and fully formed character who could connect with others on a deeper level. But he didn't take it off a single time in S3. Characters growing and evolving in some way is storytelling 101 and S3 of Mando failed Din badly in that respect. It was rumored that Pedro Pascal had a big falling out with production and almost walked away from the series for this reason. If true, now we can see that his complaint had merit.

One of the biggest problems with the new trilogy is the quick flip. being back to desperate rebels after having overthrown the empire. It was hard to buy into that But having a Mandalorian army of the united clans taking down a sector of the remaining empire being easy is very believable. The empire can't always be OP. It makes sense that in this time period they are at their most desperate. Well thats what makes sense to me at least. I feel like I was robbed of that when the new trilogy just flipped it so easily.

This show has disappointed me. I keep watching out of some misplaced feeling of duty as someone who enjoys Star Wars, but the writing is so bland I keep thinking I shouldn't waste any more of my precious time watching it. And yet, that false duty calls. Because of the way these shows are structured nowadays, one easily feels obliged to watch them all just in case the next one happens to be even half-decent. Looking at you Ahsoka. Looking at all the ways in which I fear you will fail us. If we hadn't gotten Andor, I probably would've stopped watching with the combination of the The Book of Boba Fett and the second season of The Mandalorian. But after Andor turned out to be pretty much the greatest show of last year, Star Wars or not, I can't quite do that. At least not until that show finishes its run. I just wish they didn't tie their writers to such tight leashes. Or if this truly is the best they can come up with, hire more better writers.

Personally, I think that this wasn't the original Gideon (or Gideon Prime). Instead it may have been his first test clone, but without the force. The dozen that Din destroyed may have been the first of the new clones. You'll also notice the this Gideon didn't have a mustache. Gideon was too vain to shave that mustache off. So Gideon may still be alive. Just my 2 credits...

I suspect that part of the reason to why this didn't attempt to tie into Ahsoka at all was that people were hella whiny about the way you really needed to watch Book of Boba Fett to understand the beginning of season 3 of the Mandalorian. I don't know why people are out there watching only parts of the story, I really don't, because there isn't that much to keep up with (literally 1 season of Book of Boba Fett in the like 2.5 years that have passed since the last season of the Mandalorian??), but I think maybe they wanted to avoid having such a massive tie-in. I'm just happy Grogu and his dad get to hang out in their little cabin, this way I can imagine them just chilling until we see them again

You should watch the animated star wars the Clone wars show its amazing and you'll learn a lot about Anakin and ahsoka. IT'S jenuily think it's one of the best pieces of Star Wars out there.

If you want to know more about Thrawn, read the Heir of the Empire trilogy of books. That was when he was introduced in the Star Wars universe. Disney made it where they aren't canon anymore but they do show Thrawn in his own evil ways.

On the one hand I felt this last episode wrapped up everything nicely and even made up for this season’s inconsistencies but on the other hand I can see if people felt the ending was just a little too neat and tidy with not enough high stakes or real scares or worries. But it would’ve been nice if the Imperials could have harnessed one of huge indigenous animals to fight the Mandalorians and gave the Mythosaur come out and battle it!!!

Yes, the season was bit weak, apart the battle scenes that were cool, and the interaction between Bo and Din, we had bit of intel about mandalor and the rest of the empire, cool that Grogu did jedi staff in last episode, in all the previous episodes, he was a mascotte. I think that connection of Mando to IG11 is when Kuill reprograme IG11 in Seasson 1 Episode 7 and told Mando “There are no bad or good droids” and from that moment IG11 reminds to Mando some part of Kuiil character.

I think the Darksaber will stay broke. Din did say in the last episode that it did not mean anything to his group, it was the character and actions of the person that matters. We see Bo-Katan ignite the forge as the leader of all the Mandalorian even if she did not have the Darksaber. She has said that the infighting was the main problem for the Mandalorians. So a new age started for them when they tried to rebuild their society and planes by cooperation not just because someone has th Darksaber. It is a bit like the line in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" "Strange women, lying in ponds, distributing swords is no basis for a system of government" The Darksaber is a bit like Excalibur and the governmental ideas base on it clearly have not work for the Mandalorians in the past

End of day, you feel the way you feel. As someone who has watched all of the Filoni/Favreau content, I'll just say there are no filler episodes. They do foundation, not filler. They don't put things in just to kill time, it's all there for a reason. We may not see it until next season. Or two seasons from now. Or in the Ahsoka show. Or a movie, now that we know one is going to tie in. But it will all be relevant at some point.

George Lucas is the creator on Clone Wars. Dave Filoni said that all of the stories in that show were Lucas's ideas. Lucas is the one who decided to bring back Maul, that Anakin should have a girl apprentice, that Mandalore should be a planet of pacifists that slowly turn back into warriors, etc...

I find it interesting how different age groups react and how much patience they have with padding.Padding is a way of seeing your favourite characters in normal circumstances and getting to know them.But it seems that young fans have created such a critical atmosphere on social media platforms, by telling the writers what they should be doing,that these so called fans are inhibiting writers from building something special. As a Star Wars fan from the beginning, please stop being overly critical if you can't do better yourself. Because of the short attention spans of most people under 40,we have to have Epic stories told in 30-40 minute episodes. And then you bloody piss and whine when it doesn't live up to your brilliant imaginations.Go write,produce,direct something better yourselves if your not happy. To me(as a original fan,) this was Star Wars. It's what it is.

It's silly to me that people think that this season is all "filler", when literally everything that's happened has either been world building to describe the larger universe and the people Din Djarin is a part of, has been to show character development of some of the main characters, or has been actions directly leading to or relating to the retaking of Mandalore, i.e the whole point of this season. I genuinely can't think of anything in this season I'd actually classify as filler, it all has a point, and the vast majority of it was explained IN this season. The only real exception would be the diplomatic relations with Plazir 15, which I assume would be brought up somewhat later than during an active battle to retake the planet. For anyone who thinks that episode was filler, we saw the result of being unprotected and without friends in the Outer Rim during chapter 21. Having friends out here is important, even more so when you can't rely on the New Republic, because they don't care if you're not with them. Hence it's extremely relevant to have friends, especially when you're trying to rebuild your society. That's why the extended Star Wars universe is so beautiful, because it's truly a rich environment with so many different cultures and people and planets and environments. If that wasn't the case, the franchise would've died after the original trilogy.

No doubt this season is the most complete, the one i´ve enjoyed the most, the ones before brought us here but they were simpler, going from a to b with a lot of good stops, this one has that expanded feeling, this will give so many chances or choices to go to, there is no problem to like first seasons more, good you express how you feel, i don´t think there were filler episodes, each was there for a reason except maybe the first one and even that had the ig eleven issue, great reaction as always, keep rocking and stay safe!

It's gonna be awesome. *Armorer Voice* Did you see not it react to Grogu when he turned his attention towards the waters? And Mary, you actually explained to us that you were so worried for poor Grogu. You're too funny! I could see you freakin out in my head when I was watching the episode knowing that you would react this way. I have to watch it myself first. It was so amazing! And I just happened to find my actual old school R5 action figure as I was digging through boxes while watching your vid. His stickers are a lil worn but he's still very cool. Heart ya!

Cats are very interesting. Mine if I’m not ready to go to bed at a certain time will meow at me and look to my room. Then will go into the room to wait and meow at me when I take my time climbing into bed. I love how this episode showed Grogu’s growth. In the beginning he was real shy about the force but now he uses it like a champ. I loved how he was with the praetorian guards. He was toying with them.
