I my self use Fluke everyday & some times I use a analog Simpson meter. I help my cousin in a mechanic shop and this new volt meter will be good for the new techs so they don’t blow the $25.00 fuse in a Fluke

Update: I actually ordered both strippers. I have not found an auto stripper that works reliably on coated THHN wire. Both strippers were able to do it. I had to really tighten the tension knob on Tesman but once I hit the sweet spot it's amazing to see. All my previous auto strippers just slipped off the coating. Thank you CP this is amazing to have two auto strippers now capable of stripping this wire. The yellow and blue ones clearly needed more squeeze than the green ones but they both stripped them equally as well.

I've purchased 2 or 3 of those meters for different tool boxes and locations. I've used it several times for my daily job (copier repair) and it is actually pretty good. I agree about the leads, they suck. Buy decent leads, and throw the ones that come with it in the trash. Edit: Maybe the new leads are better, I purchased mine last year.

Not a bad meter for the price. I keep a cheap meter around for quick measurements and doing battery draw tests. If it breaks I don't feel bad.

I’m not a fan of automatic strippers myself. I’ve got a few different stripper/crimper combo pliers from OTC but if I have room, I use my catapult strippers with the wire gauge in it. Speaking of crimping, I wouldn’t mind seeing a video with your opinions on that. I’ve several different crimpers as well: standard pliers, angled, ratcheting, etc. Love to get your though on that.

Off topic, recently I have been looking at the Proto 90 tooth flex head ratchet. It supposed to be the same as Mac. On Mac's site, they show a different design more similar to the Gearwrench, further is the difference in the pictures between the chrome vs comfort grip. Called Mac and they said they have been revising it. Some have screws on the top and some do not.

Check out the safety circuitry. And if it actually is rated to what it claims. I’ve found that’s where these things fall apart. They’re also usually not TRUE RMS. some are, but tons aren’t. Tbc I don’t mean this brand in particular I mean all of them. Uni-T included.

Auto strippers have always sucked for me. By far for me the best manual strippers are the Knipex forged like you have. I have their expensive autos and they suck like all of them I have. I hope I am one of the lucky 5 as I have these in my cart. They look good. The thing about the NCV on them is odd. If you think about the entire process by the time you have the strippers out you should already know power is disconnected. I can see these being used I guess as an NCV maybe to eliminate a stand alone and maybe that's their intent? It's a little Tim Walz weird but at least it's useful unlike him. :)
