I have the Fluke 323 clamp meter, the Fluke 87V, and the Fluke 117. I work with 480V on a regular basis so having a meter you can trust is very important. Keeping the leads clean of oil and other things is also important. I like the fluke TL175E twist guard leads. They are silicone leads so they are not as stiff. Fluke seems to also included crappy leads. Lol. I’m not sure if I could ever trust another meter but I have some guys that swear by Amprobe. I’ve never used one but Amprobe does seem to be a god quality meter. I’ve known a few guys that used the Klein clamp meters and they never was happy with those. Fluke or Amprobe seems to be the way to go when it comes to getting an accurate reading.

Good stuff CP. I have the multimeter too and have the exact same complaints. Smokes through batteries, threw the leads in the junk pile and bought fluke. Wish I got a fluke meter as well and I paid a very reasonable price for mine (non Bluetooth version). I don’t mind the pry bar handles that much but I just don’t use mine that much because the shaft is so much lighter than my same sized Mayhews. That said I do love the 10” straight pry bar because of the thin shank. I don’t really regret my SO impact sockets but most are swivels, all my standard impacts are Proto minus a few 3/8 mids.

So your first three I’m all in on with. Now, I can’t say I use ALL snap on impact sockets but I do have a few sockets I use the most that are snap on. I use a 7/8 deep well in 3/8 drive, 1/2 inch in 3/8 drive and a 33mm in 1/2 drive deep well. Two of those three are for lugs. I haven’t had the trouble you have with the anvil slot. They look chewed but still fit great. I also have sockets that have made it for my dad for 30 plus years and never warrantied. But, I can say the same for matco and Mac. But to each their own. They work for me and I’m happy with the few I have purchased. Too many guys don’t understand this is your preference and not “my word is law”. Honestly wish as fans and followers we could debate you live. Now, for your pry bars I get it but the handle works for me. I did pay 220 for my kit but I also got thrown a 36 inch free so I feel I got way more than you mentioned because of my particular dealer. I love the handles and I bought them because I was rebuilding an air bag and my matco one slipped from my hands and the bar came back and kicked me in my 🍆. It was an angry purchase but it worked for me. Now, I need to see every truck brands most hated tools. This needs to be a segment in its own.

You need to add the folding hex key set, to that list? It is a rebranded Eklind allen key tool? It works, but is the same tool, I didn't buy it, but it needs to be announced as being crap? Come to think of it, I know why Snap On used another established maker of hex keys, cause the 30 year old set of silver colored one's from them, that come in a metal flip case are inferior, also? They strip out, like they are going out of style, absolutely horrible quality? Great job, as always, CP.

I own some snap on impact sockets and chrome. I think the impacts are some of the worst impacts I've used. Way to soft. It bothers me because all the old snap on sockets I own which is a few that came from my grandpaw are still holding up 60 years later. I seen a brand new half inch drive 1 1/2 socket wallow the drive end out by 5th torque rod. Was doing a radius rod campaign. It has an amp clamp built in, has more amps than that, at 1000 Amps AC/DC, also has an Infared thermometer with red laser. Mine doesn't have Bluetooth, but do you really need it, and the extra complexity associated with it? Is the meter "True RMS" rated, that might be the issue, of the inconsistencies you having? The prices are very expensive, How ever you are getting a lifetime warranty . They may replace the tool dozens of times . The Quality and warranty warrants the high price . Very professional tools and service . I agree some of the things are not Worth the money , but the metal Wrenches , sockets , ranchers and screw drivers most definitely are worth it. I work on engines in a saltwater extremely harsh environment , Believe me I give tools the rough test . Some young techs getting into the industry , I show them how important it is to have top quality tools . The serous guys go with Snap On. Also I have not experienced and issues with the volt meter . That soldering clamp . .. $125 ... Snappy was trying to sell me one .I did a double take W.T.A.F .? I think I misheard you ! I found shweet dual alligator clip tool for soldering online. 2 for $19 work great. Also the Voth bought a S.O. multimeter , I hate it. Ranges all over the MF place. Reads 0-.75 vdc at idle, lol. Stick with the Flukester .

A much simpler way to avoid tools from Snap-on that deserve to be avoided......just look at the catalog, and promise yourself to avoid EVERYTHING in it. These days there are many alternatives that are far better value for your money. Just say no to gouge and greed.
