We too struggle getting gearboxes for those swifts, they're either scarce from being in high demand or no one seems to make any parts or recon them anymore! Great vid as always

Can’t believe the price of 12-13 year old bog standard hatchbacks at the moment! £3k+ for the Fiat 500, over £2k for a 13 year old 120k miles Fiesta! We’ve got a 120k miles 2010 Fiesta Titanium 1.4TDCi which I paid £3k for 3 years ago on 70k miles! Thought prices would have calmed down by now. Great channel BTW 👍

Your fiesta would still be worth near 2795 -2995 even today in decent condition, prices never really came down after covid surge. You have bought well bob

I know right!? Im looking for a matchbox car for my daughter. Due to insurance, she can only afford C1, 107, Aygo, i10, that sort of car. I thought £1500 would easy get me one, but it seems not!

Lee, both my Sons had the old shape Corsa. One of the cars wrecked an engine on the motorway due to a plastic coolant connector on the engine . The other one replaced it with a brass one- it ran for many miles. Worth letting your customer know/ to check. Heartbreaking for a new driver with their first car🙇‍♂️

Ref that Agila - there is a woman round here uses one ( or a Wagon R ) as a delivery van - only has the drivers seat in it and carries loads of boxes. Many years ago I had an Astra as a company car and took it into a local dealers for a service. Having a chat turns out they had sold one to a 20 year old - he was a drummer in a band and he could get all his kit in to take to gigs - horses for courses eh?

Agree, also no commercial road tax to pay, a fiesta or corsa / combo van would be over £300 a year to tax, agila near half that

Several years ago i bought my mrs an 08 Suzuki swift sport , worst car ive ever bought think we had it 6 months at most , i just don't see why folk think there great particularly the Swift sport , that also had a gearbox problem and they are a 1.6 .

agree its a plus point but sadly I don't. The cost in the first year is silly but will be getting one next year, They wanted 2k extra so its just not worth it, however they reckon will be a fraction of that on renewal so will see

those wagon r / agila they starting to do good money in usa ive seen resent. imports from japan so those have the kei car engine 660cc engine but a fun engine tho. quick search a 1997 one 67k miles $5,908 or £4,573.82p so very strong money and amazed usa not started hitting uk market as we have same cars but as usa like a bigger engine. in some way i hope not as the last thing we need is usa putting costs up even more as 25 year rule after that they can import, so could be a good investment buy the right car before that magic year esp some japan stuff so if interested in older japan car buy it sooner than later

Terry I cannot agree with you I have had 5 Renaults on the trot always had a good deal @ main dealer, have Renault Captur now it is superb & 0 tax. Only problem I encountered was on Megane where window motor kept failing but Renault recognised the problem & fitted updated motor.
