I had a great time voicing lines for the video, thanks so much for the opportunity! And can I just say, I relate to this video so much. I remember my first contract kitchen I brought in some of my sugar free coffee creamer and wrote a post-it that said "feel free to help yourself =)" ...No one ever did. Apparently sharing wasn't a thing... Well, more creamer for me.

The whole pot luck thing is such an irrational fear. Because it's a pot luck, people you don't know are supposed to be eating your food. If you didn't want people eating your food you don't make food for a pot luck. And food is very communal sharing food is a very social event. I probably would highly distrust you for not eating with the group, usually means you have deep things to hide lol or idk. Like the animation tho!

I usually can't stand public kitchens because it isn't usually well taken care of when compared to one's personal kitchen.

i drank a soda from my wife's salon's kitchen once. It had been there, giving me its siren call for, months--feeling neglected (I'm sure). One day when me personal turpitude was at an unusually high level, I drank it. Just like that, I drank it. And was immediately seized with regret--not necessarily remorse, because of my aforementioned turpitude. I was convinced that the kitchen police were going to haul me into the hoosegow. Fortunately, God gives grace to the foolish, and until now, no one was the wiser. No more absconding with illicit beverages for me. I've learned my lesson. Also, this video is high on my list of reality-meets humor. Wonderful.

I once ate my boss’ lunch. It was in a brown paper bag labeled, “Dad”. I called my wife and told her the turkey tasted like ham and the chips were all crumbled up, then I said, “but the candy bar was a nice touch”. Her response was what helped me figure it out. I went to his office and offered him my lunch.

Hah! Very good! My experience as an in-office temp was mostly as a strybd or ad concept artist, which in my day meant using a bunch of color markers, all thrown loose into a drawer. And half of them were dried out anyway. Argh.

1. Record everything you do with action camera, always wear it and never turn it off. So in case you are suspected of missing food, you have proof you didn't do it. 2. Don't put any of your food or beverages in kitchen. Just bring it to your table. That's what I do (since there is no fridge near my working area. Kitchen is too far and break time is just 15 minutes)

You have not idea, how many people have been fired in places I've worked in because of stealing food. That is a big no, no in companies with H.R. Department.s

Wow really? I’m amazed it’s that much of a problem! How much food theft has to go on for it to be a fireable offense?
@3polygons6 жыл бұрын
small companies like the many I've worked at, no trouble. If anything, u'd be a brave viking warrior (a berseker I'd say) to go and eat one of those rotten things in a smelly rotten fridge.. No theft threat from me. I even never dare even to open it. Plus, a bunch of companies would just have a service ordering food for everyone, u pay a sort of quota per week. crappy food, typically, and payed partially by the company as they WANT you to live at the company the more the merrier, as is a known fact that you'd end up putting more hours plus being more time available for any need.. that's the golden jail some ppl think is modern "joy" (ie, google style) , like all those pinball machines, soccer machines, pool tables, vendor machines, giant balls. Just carrots to kill your personal life more and more, and get you 200% devoted to the company. A bubble that will break if has not already, is not sustainable to keep loyal and durable employees, imo.

Arp Laszlo I'm pretty sure he uses flash (now by the name Adobe animate) to make the animations and creates the characters in illustrator.

As a freelancer, never have to do that. Is yet all home (lol, maybe should get back to making webs)...maybe illustration, pixel art and 3D is more for loners, lol...But at last company, boss would have always for us (ALL coders, and one graphic designer, me) an ENTIRE big fat kind of weird ikea furniture full of cookies, chocolates, drinks (not just coke, even those energetic risky ones, ouch...were soon removed to be 100% fair) every garbage one could eat and drink to counter our otherwise healthy habits... Add to that crazy extra hours, no sleep, stress (veeery rare to hear any conversation, unlike in those TV shows) and over pressure (but I did grow a thick rhino/crocodile skin in the third year (paradise from then, at any job), and the entire thing was around seven, so that does not count (quite some time as a full remote, too)) ...Bad part is, when too focused, *very* low sleep, a bit stressed, and no time for proper breaks going to get a real breakfast, you end up falling for it (going to the ikea fat ass thing)... a lot. The fridge , tho....Totally different game. Never for me. I was too scared. I'm damned with an incredible capability to smell anything, even in the large distance (somebody at the kitchen called me the company fox, always tried not to think bad for that) . Just opening the fridge would (in some case I almost fainted) remove any desire of eating at all (even just due to a rotten salad).. but ppl didn't mind ! :o yeah, now can't say the name of the company, lol.... There's room to make a full video series about the coffee machine ! if those machines would talk... I dedicated extra modeling time and love to it, when once had to model and render our "future" entire office, as we were gonna move, and was as to be able for employees to "see" it (with over-nice renders, etc) , kindda team motivation and soften the changes...I thought it was one of those ridiculous things bosses copy from the IN companies, or trendy bestsellers full of scrum techniques and the like... No way, this time they had a point !!! you would be surprised how ppl gets attached to THEIR particularly crappy space, the way the flow of conditioned air toxines hit their face, if they get near the bathroom (both lovers and haters of that), that they love the tree they see from the window, but the tree they see in the new offices IS NOT THE SAME TREE. Later on, of course, fighting to get the best space...People get to be a royal PITA. Never understood that. Also as I was kind of that card in Poker (can't remember the freakin name in English) that goes with anything....I mean, had been moved constantly, of room, machine, hours, functions, everything. I even remember being placed in the hall, like a small casual furniture there, lol. I dunno why the graphic designers or any type of graphic artist we do get this fame of the ones with the super expensive chair, and all full of luxury... In my experience, that was always more the case of the coders...I kind of think that's because game dev companies and general software dev companies are a particular kind of "thing", while publicity agencies, totally different, there is more the reign of designers. Sadly, i've worked much more in the former group. Some ppl think The Office (UK or US) or Silicon Valley TV shows are wayyy too much of a fiction... No way ! Those fall short. For a time, I was not able to watch even a trailer from those, as reminded me EXACTLY my "loved" job(/s) (whatever the company of the moment). Still, no complaints. Is just stupidity from the first world, in any case. Very light stuff in comparison.
