Simpsons has some sort of weird obsession with keeping voice actors the same. If Dan Castlenetta died they’d probably sack half the characters.

He did actually strangle Homer in an episode in a much earlier season, incidentally also over contract disputes. He used Homer's belt to do it there.

I know they can't just replace Julie Kavner as she's been part of the Simpsons family since the very beginning and it would be harsh to just replace her due to her age but my god I worry about her when I hear her voice. She sounds like she's going to give out any second! Marge honestly sounds more like her mother, Jacqueline Bouvier now!
