Personally, if it wasn't for MC's sickness and the divorce then the wife wouldn't notice anything about her husband. Keep in mind that MC reminded his wife here about him being sick AFTER they got married and yet she never paid attention but the moment MC mentions divorce she suddenly decided to take note of his sickness; why?? Why wait 5 years until noticing his ailment?? In fact, had the husband died because of his ailment then the wife would have been devastated; she's lucky MC is tough otherwise she would have lost it.

The MC isn’t really being over dramatic here, it’s got nothing to do with Fabian and the coincidence don’t hold any sway over him. The fact is that he’s spent the whole marriage feeling unappreciated and ultimately fell out of love. He felt that his efforts would never be good enough, believed she would never love him, and ultimately decided to make the move he thought best for both of them. Unfortunately for Abigail, she started showing her feelings after he had already become apathetic towards her.

She could’ve found out that he had no idea of the circumstances behind her choice to marry him, she could’ve had her eyes opened to how her treatment of him affected him (although I doubt that to be what sparked the initial change), his sincerity could’ve bridged the chasm created by the circumstances of their marriage, or any other number of factors could have been involved. My guess as to the “why” stems from two assumptions: the first is that she hated the mc for the circumstances of their marriage (as believed by the mc once he found them out) and the second is that by the time she got over that hatred, they were too entangled for her to analyze their situation in any conductive manner. Basically she hated him until he became irreplaceable and by then she was too comfortable around him to notice until the comfort she took for granted started to fade. Once that happened she was able to perceive what he meant to her, how she had been treating him, and how it had affected him; leading to her trying to fix things before everything crumbled. Of course that’s just my theory, only the author could know the true intentions of Abigail.

Let's be broad minded here. At first MC really doesn't know that FMC was forced to marry him, when she asks him does he really loved her that much , he doesn't know the real question behind her question. She initially married him for her company so its obvious she has to live a busy life because she was a business woman, they both shares the same bed , but why doesn't they talk to each other open heartily, i won't blame any single but they both are on fault here. If he was suffering why doesn't he share his feelings towards her, he survived for 5 yrs somehow, but as soon as he saw her ex, he decided to divorce, why isn't he asks her to clarify things first, and in the end asking her to give up the same company she worked so hard to get , even if she has to marry him, was it fare. For FMC yes work was necessary but her husband was working with her in the same company, living under the same roof , and sharing the same bed ,but yet she doesn't know shit about her husband. What kind of shitty wife is that, only after he asks for divorce she came to wonder that she doesn't anything about her husband, he lied about his favourite food bcoz she liked it, she doesn't know about his sickness, and in the end if she really doesn't care about the company why took so long to resign, i think MC played his cards right throughout his story as he was a perfect husband and everyone knows that, so he knows if he play right he will get her back, and he succeeded. She is an adult and she should know the creep is still hitting her and should stop it in the beginning. Communication and honesty are the keys to avoid all that marital issues.
