@@_jdus Find the video with Ren wearing the red suspenders busking in Brighton. It's been on my playlist for the past two summers. It's excellent and I'm a huge Bob Marley fan. Many in America (I'm Canadian) don't seem too familiar with busking which is basically a street performance we call in UK and their commonwealth countries. That's where Ren started. He blew up with Hi Ren. Ren sings and raps about mental health and so for me, totally relatable with doctors misdiagnosing me for decades until recently. I appreciate the talent and vulnerability he brings. His music has brought me healing knowing I'm not alone. He understands that many people are suffering like him, staying inside while they silently fight physical and mental trauma. From that perspective, you may see Hi Ren differently. That video has helped with my healing bc it always felt like an uphill battle, when in fact it has been more of a pendulum swinging from the dark to the light. He's lived it, so he gets it more than most. I cannot tell you how important that song is for me, as well as Sick Boi. Great reaction. I appreciate your honesty. Keep that shit up. It is refreshing to see honest opinions and open-mindedness in reactions. All music/artists don’t resonate with everyone and that’s okay. The world would be so boring without the diversity and discussion. I am glad you were willing to listen to more Ren, based on positive and respectful comments that encouraged you to explore REN’s artistry more to see how versatile he is! I think you might like The Big Push’s (band Ren was in) “I Shot the Sheriff” medley, and “How to be Me” or “Chalk Outlines” with Chinchilla (another phenomenal artist).

A lot of people who don’t like hi ren revisit it after getting to know him and “get it”. You might too… but if not that’s totally fine ❤

You are right about Ren being very culturally responsible in his music, cultural issues, take front and center, but the band that he was in, the big push, was much lighter and more fun

OMG, I love this reaction 💯🔥 BP, it's amazing to think you're experiencing this now in this day and age, and having the privilege to see your reaction, just great 🔥 And when the Johnny Rotten penny dropped, classic 😊. You have to remember this was late 70s in a very conservative time, so much to catch up with and sure you'll love it. John Lydon is an absolute riotus gem, always tells it how it is. He lives in America. If you get chance to go see his talk show, do it 👌. I can't believe your boi Don hasn't taken you down the real punk rock road before and of course never forget, punk rock originated in the UK 😉🇬🇧 just to open that can of worms for you. 😂

LMAO! the last dudes who talked smack about Ren are now in the Renegade army. One was a rapper and Ren battled rap him got his respect. The other is a reactor, who spoke ill of him and now consider him a savant. Is this history repeating, dude has so much talent, I'm sorry, not many rappers, producers are on his level. They just aren't.

This was fun to watch. Especially someone who doesn’t know either song but really liked both. It’s nice to see someone who is honest with their tastes and don’t pretend to like everything just because the rest of us do. You’ve earned a new subscriber 😊Watch him do Monster. It is awesome.

That's the thing with Ren, his range is so wide that if you srart with a song you don't like you really don't get a complete impression, but there's more than likely a few songs you'll love. He has so many influences. Also ignore the Renegades that can't handle reactors not liking a few songs, Ren is not for everine and that's fine, they embarras me. Also, original back on 74 is dope.

That’s what I like to see tho. Y’all gotta let me put y’all on to someone who is versatile as well
