I learned that with regular jobs, like supermarkets, factories, warehouse, there is always something imperfect about a job and you just have to put up with it because that is the job aswell as life

New grad here with 5 months experience so far! Thank you for giving us Med/Surg (I’m also going to add Tele since I’m a Med/Surg/Tele RN) nurses some love! I’ve learned so much on this floor since I’ve started working. Some days are better than others, and I’ve even started questioning myself if this profession is the one for me, but I’ve heard people say “Your first year is always the hardest.” I can’t wait to see myself in a year’s time and see how much I’ve learned and see how much I’ve improved! Btw, just subscribed 😊

Going on 3 years of nursing. Definitely agree with exploring different units. Solid points and sounds like we have some similarities in our learning experiences. Keep on keepin on

How long do you think nurses should give time to each specialty to really learn and know each?

Thank you for saying that about med surg nurses! I just passed my NCLEX and am starting on a med surg floor while there’s other people from my class that are starting in CVICUs and I was feeling like I was “less than” so thank you :)

@@reyy568 I know it doesn't seem like it now, and I'm sure you hear this a lot, but it goes by really fast, so learn as much as possible throughout the whole process.

Are you able to make a video about how you manage your finances on a nurses salary? You can be as broad or specific as you want, I just want a general idea how to correctly manage my finances when I get my future RN job because it will be more than double what I make now and I want to be responsible about it.

You can use a budgeting app called everydollar and make sure you stick to the budget. You’re trying to be responsible with your money which is smart and a monthly budget will keep you on the right track.

Great video! Will you make a video on like is it normal to feel like nursing school is impossible and feel like you are going to fail out?
@TaelyLee5 жыл бұрын
Hi Devin, I graduated nursing school in May, passed my boards in July, and have been working as an RN since August. Believe me when I say this, it is completely normal to feel like nursing school is impossible and that you are going to fail out. There were many nights I felt like I wasn’t going to make it. There were nights I cried because of all the stress. In the end, it was worth it! Develop good study habits, ask questions, and find a good friend or two who you can study with. Treat yourself when needed and don’t be too hard on yourself either. I wish you the best on your journey! ❤️

Can you make video about "advice nurses"

The only difference between nursing specialties is the training and skills. Anyone can learn skills and policies.

come on man, medsurg nurses are incompetent in many nursing skills, I've worked with both medsurg and ER nurses personally... goodluck in your prep for PA school... currently in my 3rd semester
@jasonlang90745 жыл бұрын
Would you really say incompetent as incapable or just in the fact that based on the type of nursing they do they lose skills that say maybe they learned in nursing school.
@Natedogmora5 жыл бұрын
I’m assuming you are still in nursing school, I am too, pretty ignorant still man. I’ve worked with competent and dumb nurses in almost every department. Hell I worked with an experienced RN that had 20 years experience as combat medic as well, smart as hell and is a SCHOOL nurse. Would have never guessed he had a background like that. Department doesn’t define your competency as a nurse. I realized that and I’m still a student
@WhiteCastleSliderz5 жыл бұрын
