I Was Wrong About Service Areas in Local SEO

Speaking from personal experience with my own pest control business listing (because we moved recently) I toyed with the idea of not showing address and clicked don’t show address and our rankings went all over the place. We were ranking great in an area about 5+miles west of us, and our main area where we had been located and ranking 1-2 for a year plus now was down to 8+ needless to say it scared me so I changed it back instantly, the ranking changed immediately on both ends

This makes sense cause I have a client (SAB) where the address is hidden, and the pin on the map is actually far from address where it was originally verified. Thanks for clarifying, I actually watched the previous video and was surprised with the results when taking on/off the address. Hope to see more case studies about this.
